My life was never worth living even when

I was traveling alone, I was basically walking my

life away... I had no point to living anymore...

But then, my life turned around.

That night, in the forest in the dead of winter...

Death...

Death seemed like it would have made my

pain go away easier then... but now... I cherish the one

who died that night...

Life...

Life is now a miracle to me...

So is she...

Chapter 1

Her mother is an angel now

Deep within a winter bitten forest late at night, a young women trudged wearily through the deep snow, wearing a large long light blue cloak and holding onto what seemed like a bundled package underneath it, she aimlessly kept walking forward with only her determination and frost bitten bare feet moving her forward now. She had been walking in this manner of exhaustion for a week now, pain seemed to ravage her face every now and again making her lean against a tree, steady her breathing and then keep on walking. This women seemed strong and kept on trying to reach her goal, whatever that was. She found herself in a less dense part of the forest, then her vision blurred for a moment and she fell to kneeling.

Through her eyes she was a blurred figure in a dark green cloak run up, she blinked several times and focused on the face of the male. It was a boy, about the age of 16, if not a little bit younger, he had short fluffy brown hair and warm and deep auburn eyes. He showed a somewhat innocent face, but this was in contrasts with the blood stained Katana at his waist, he seemed to show a kindness towards this woman. "Hey, Are you ok?" he questioned softly.

The woman didn't answer him, she slowly forced herself to stand and kept on trudging, pain swelled in her again and she leaned against a tree. The boy followed her cautiously. "You don't seem to be doing too well, Miss... How about I help you by carrying your package..."

Package... he honestly thinks this is merely a package? The women thought to herself as she kept on walking, "Thanks, but no thanks... I am fine..." she watched him follow her then she leaned against a tree again, this time sliding down to the floor, taking deep breaths.

The boy gasped and knelt in front of her, "Are you hurt? Who hurt you?"

She nodded, "Yes I am hurt but-"

The Boy cut her off, "Who hurt you? where are you hurt huh..." he was abruptly halted in his tracks when she screamed in pain. "What is wrong?"

She panted and looked at him, "this isn't a package..." she moved the cloak away to reveal no bundle, to reveal her stomach, "I am pregnant and now, I am in labor..." her head fell forward slightly, panting in pain.

The boy froze, "L-Labor!? What do I do!? I need to get you some help..." he turned to leave but stopped. She grabbed hold of his hand, "what is it?"

"P-please... Don't go... The baby is coming..." she showed fear, making the boy stop and kneel down again, "My water broke four days ago... I was scared and I tried to fight giving birth but now-" she screamed again, making the boy tense up.

"O-Ok... well I think your ready to give birth, when you feel like it is time... Push... and I mean Push as hard as you can..." he helped her move her legs wider apart and got ready to get the baby when it came.

She nodded and pushed as hard as she could, the pain showed immensely on her fast weakening face. He gasped and yelled at her, "Come on! Push!" Her screams of pain echoed through the forest...

I almost regret yelling at her...

Her life seemed to fade fast and I didn't want

her to die...

There are times I can still hear her screams...

They echo through my mind just like they did

in that forest that night...

She screamed one last time and the world went

back to it's lying peaceful self.

Then I heard the lungs of an angel...

She pushed on last time, screaming. She then fell silent, her head leaning back against the cold bark of the tree behind her, the forest fell silent once more and the boy looked down, at the little baby girl covered in blood on the floor before him, his eyes widened as she started crying. The woman smiled slightly and then closed her eyes.

The boy gasped, having wrapped the baby in a small blanket, "No... you can't die... Your baby needs you..."

She shook her head, "No, my time is nearly up... Angel needs you... not me... your the only one who can look after her from now on... please, never leave her alone..." Her body glowed and disappeared in a silver powder. Her cloak was the only thing left.

"Look after her, Look after Angel..."

He started crying, holding the baby close to him, "I promise... I will never leave her side... I will never forget you... urm..." he sighed, wrapping the baby in her mother's cloak and holding her close.

"Lets go, Angel..."

There was actually only one thing I regret from that day...

not getting her name...

But one thing I can say now...

Her mother is an Angel now...

So is she... But she is my Angel...
