"Who the hell are you?! And what do you think you are doing to my wife?" Andrew yelled. Jake smirked, but didn't let go of me yet. "Trust me," he whispered, letting go of me. I smiled. Andrew saw the smile, and misinterpreted it. "So you initiated this. I should've known that my wife is liar and a cheat!" Saying that, he came forward and raised his hand. I turned my head, expecting the slap.

The slap never came. I looked up and saw that Jake was gripping Andrew's hand in a vice, and Andrew was wincing. "I would appreciate it if my employees come to work in one condition." I gasped. Jake let go of Andrew's hand. "She's your employee? Since when? And what is that miserable mouse fit for?"

"I would appreciate it of you wouldn't talk to my employee like that." He said in a deceptively calm voice. "Why should you care? She's my wife. I can do anything to her!" Jake punched him.

"Stop it, both of you!" I said. "We're in a hospital!" I turned to Jake and said, "What time do I report to work tomorrow? And what's my position and pay?"

"You are not working!" they both yelled. Andrew snarled, "I will never let you work. Especially not for your boyfriend." Jake turned to me and said, "I won't let you work tomorrow. You need rest, and I need a fully-able secretary. You can start day after." He turned to Andrew. "Andrew, think about it. Your wife will be out of your hair for some time, and she'll be independent. She won't ask you for money, or anything else while she works." I turned to Andrew, in askance.

"No!" He yelled.

"Yes, please?" I half-begged, half-yelled.

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes! It'll be a good change. Besides, you can get some peace and quiet away from me," I said, knowing very well I was grovelling.

Finally relenting, he nodded. "But you will never ask me for money," he firmly stated. I nodded, and he walked out without even a goodbye.

"So, you need a new secretary? What happened to your old one?" I asked Jake. "Huh? Nothing happened. I just had to make an on-spot decision. But I'll find something for you, and I'll pay you whatever you want, so you don't need to beg for money from a worthless bastard." His phone rang before I reply. "Excuse me," he said, stepping out.

He returned in a hurry. "I really need to go. My secretary just called. Something's happened at work. Will you be ok?" He asked me. I nodded, and he gave me a quick hug.

"See you day after," he said rushing out.

I smiled, happy after a long time, and soon drifted off to sleep.
