"So hey, we're about to crash, before you freak out I'm not supposed be on this flight. I was supposed to be going to Disney world. DISNEY WORLD!" The strange boy who had been sitting next to me exclaimed.
"I'm here with my family. You never introduced yourself." I tried to sound calm.
"Jason. I should be with my family. I don't belong here. I shouldn't be on this plane. I'm not supposed to die!"
"Apparently, you are. Unless we escape."
The next seven minutes were a blur.
I'm not even sure how we did it.
Somehow after hitting the ground hard though, I could sense that I wasn't dead.
I don't know when my conscience stirred but my blurry vision could make out Jason leaning over me.
When my vision was returned I could see a nasty gash on Jason's forehead.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"I'm fine. Need a band aid, you wouldn't happen to have one would you? Hello kitty is preferred..." He gave a weak smile, my cue to laugh at his weak attempt at humor. I would have, I really would have if every part of my body hadn't ached.
"No, Violet, you're not. I'm not even slightly medically intelligent, but you're not okay."
"I'll be fine." I struggled to sit up, but some invisible force pulled me back down.
"It's a big crash, medics will be here soon. We survived."
"Did- did anyone else survive?" His face fell.
"Oh, Violet, no, I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry."
"It's okay." I said, lying through my teeth.
"There's the medics, I should go talk to them." He seemed nervous.
"Don't go anywhere!" He called.
"Where would I go genius?"
So am I getting better? Just say that I'm totally awesome and I'll leave you alone, random invisible people out there on cyber space...
