Darkness…its everywhere…it sees what we do…it's a part of us, it IS us…it is nothing…

Modern science defines darkness as, "the absence of light," yet saying this does not mean that it is true. Anyone who believes this is more foolish than a scientist teaching religion, for just as the gods that we believe are not human, the darkness isn't either. A god must be feared, yet respected, noticed, yet shunned. At night, when darkness looms over us, we retreat into the safety of our homes, scared of the darkness, and yet, we leave the land that we grow, the land that our children play upon, to the darkness as an offering, a sign of respect that shows that we know the darkness is among us. Artists shade shadows in their drawing to give their work a more "realistic" appeal, yet, when not on paper, a shadow isn't worth the dirt that it is cast upon. Scientists have spent millions of dollars and even many years of their lives, all to research light, and yet, not one has begun to question the darkness, simply because, there is nothing there, but by saying nothing is there, you are angering it. Because we cannot feel the darkness, that doesn't mean that nothing is there, just…out of our reach…our comprehension.

The darkness is all around us, constricting us, leeching off us, holding us to this earth. The mysterious cloak that hides the faces of the wicked and demonic, is, the darkness. It resides in the soul of those who have forgotten the light. This, "absence of light," chases off the last of the sun's beams over the horizon. When there is nothing, there is darkness… When there is darkness, there is nothing…

The darkness is more than a god, it's an "everything," it's the pilot that drives people mad. WE are the darkness, yet, we cannot control it…we are merely under its control…we are merely…in its shadow…
