A/N: This is my first romance more than one chapter non fanfiction story! :) I'm excited! starbutterfly314 will be working with me! :) I'm writing this chapter, and we will switch off every chapter!
I hate my life. Why you ask? Because my she-devil mother is making me and my sister move to a wealthy neighbor hood so she can live with her man-whore.
"Jo! Get your snarky ass over here and help me unpack the boxes!" My she-devil mom said.
"Shut up! I'll be right there!" I replied standing up from my queen size bed and walking down stairs to help her unpack the kitchen.
"Don't tell me to shut up!" The she-devil said.
"Whatever." I muttered as I unpacked the knives. She will regret she made me unpack the knives. Using my awesome knife-throwing skills, I threw the knife and it landed in the wall by her head. "Oops. It slipped." I said innocently.
"It slipped my ass." The she-devil said taking the box of knives away from me.
"Why isn't Keels helping?" I asked.
"She's unpacking the living room with Robert." She said.
"I feel bad for her, she has to unpack with the rapist." I said.
"That's it! Go to your room!" She yelled pointing to where my old room was in my old house.
"I live upstairs smart one!" I shouted stomping my way upstairs like a child.
"Ugh!" I heard my mother scream. I also heard Robert going to comfort her and Keels footsteps walking to my room.
"Jo can you be at least a little kind? Mom is stressed right now." Keely said walking towards my blanket-covered form.
"How can you even call her our mother? She dumped dad for a stupid rapist and made us move! We didn't even have the choice to live with dad!" I said pushing the covers off of me.
"I know, Jo. But we should be a little considerate for mom's feelings." Keely said brushing her straight midnight black hair out of her emerald green eyes.
I did the same with my matching midnight black hair, except I have curly hair and icy blue eyes. When I was little, dad used to call me his little ice princess. I would laugh and punch him in the arm and he would fake hurt.
I sighed. I really missed dad.
As if reading my thoughts, Keely said, "I miss dad to you know."
"I know." I said smiling. "I will try to be more 'considerate' as you say." I sighed.
"Good. I will bring you dinner later." She said leaving.
I got up and started unpacking my clothes. I smiled as I saw my favorite shirt that said, 'NYA BITCHES!'.
Once I put everything away, I got my drawing pad and started drawing a little emo kid in his little emo corner. Then a giant freakish monster came out of nowhere and ate the little emo kid leaving only his head. God I'm messed up.
I looked up as I heard a knock on my door. Keely came in holding a bowl of Mac and Cheese. My comfort food.
I instantly threw my drawing pad somewhere and grabbed the precious bowl saying a quick thank you and digging in.
Keely laughed and grabbed my drawing pad. She sighed and said, "You're drawing negative things again. The therapist said no negative things."
"That stupid therapist knew nothing! I don't even need one!" I shouted.
"Shh! I'm not supposed to be up here." Keely said.
My eyes softened. "Keels you don't need to be up here. I don't want you to get in trouble." I said.
"It's fine. I have some awesome ass-kissing skills so I'm fine." She said smiling.
I laughed. "I know you do!"
I finished my Mac and Cheese and Keely left, taking the bowl with her. "Good night." She said.
"Night!" I replied. I looked over at my digital clock and it said it was 9: 47.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes. I quickly changed into my black pajamas and climbed in bed. I fell asleep as soon as my body felt bed underneath it. I didn't even cover myself with blankets.
I woke up and immediately checked on Jo. She wasn't in her room and I got worried. I went downstairs and into the kitchen. I sighed in relief as I saw Jo in the kitchen making pancakes like she does every Saturday. I almost forgot.
"Hey Keels." She said without turning around.
"Hey Jo." I said. She was still in her pajamas and so was I. It was a part of our Saturday tradition.
We used to call Saturday our 'lazy day'. Every Saturday, Jo would wake up early and make pancakes. We would eat the pancakes in front of the TV and wear our pajamas all day.
I was saddened when mom came downstairs dressed in her work clothes. She would always skip work on Saturdays.
Mom brushed past me and Jo, grabbed a pancake, and left saying a quick, "Bye girls."
Jo froze. I slowly moved towards her, but before I could reach her, she turned around and ran upstairs.
I turned off the stove and quickly followed her. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Jo, please open up." I said.
"Go away." She said, her voice as cold as dry ice.
"It's mom's fault. Don't take it out on me." I said leaning against the door. I jumped up as it opened, barely catching myself.
"You're right. I'm sorry." She said walking back in her room.
I walked in and noticed she has been practicing her knife throwing. 5 daggers stuck out of the dart-board dad made her. All of them hit the bulls-eye. "It's fine, Jo. I understand why you're angry." I said taking the daggers out and putting them back in their case. "Just because mom is missing out on the fun doesn't mean we have to." I said smiling.
Jo stared at me and smiled. "Thank you, Keels. You always know how to make me feel better." She said hugging me.
"It's cause I'm awesome." I said and she laughed as we walked downstairs.
She finished making the pancakes and we sat down in front of the TV watching her favorite movie, Chucky.
She laughed at the killing parts as we ate her yummy pancakes. Once it was over, we laid on the couch staring at each other.
"Ha! I win you blinked!" Jo shouted doing her famous victory dance. To me, she looked like a chicken with its head cut off.
"I didn't even know we were having a staring contest." I said.
She stopped dancing and pouted. "You didn't blink for 5 minutes on purpose!?" She asked.
"Well, yeah. Doesn't everybody?" I asked.
She frowned and said, "No. But whatever. Do you want to go check out the neighborhood?"
"Sure." I shrugged.
We got up and walked outside. It was a very hot day and made me worry about Jo because of her black pajamas.
"Jo it's kinda hot. Go change into you other pajamas." I told her.
She stood there for a second then said, "You're right. It is. Be right back!"
I frowned. I knew something was wrong. She barely listens to me.
She came back out in her yellow pajamas and I held my hand out. She sighed and handed me her 5 inch long knife that was hidden in her bra. "How do you always know?" She asked.
"Call it sister's intuition." I said.
"Come on! What if we get mugged?" She said.
I looked around. This place was like Beverly Hills. I guess she had a point. "Here." I said grudgingly, handing her the knife.
"Thank you." She said beaming and replacing it wear it was before.
"I don't get why you stuff things in your bra." I said.
"It's convenient when you don't have pockets." She said.
Again point proven.
We started walking around this hideous place with practically every house looking the same. We glanced at each other and I knew we had the same thought. It won't be the same for long.
We quickly walked to the nearest store and bought a ton of cans of spray paint. We paid and walked back to our house smirking at each other when we got there.
An hour later we sat down and admired our work. Unfortunately, our mother chose to pull into our drive-way just then.
"What the hell!" She screamed. "Why the **** did you guys do that!?" She yelled at us pointing to the rainbow colored house.
"Because everything is the same here." I answered calmly before Jo said anything.
Mom was speechless. Back when we were a happy family she would laugh and keep it that way. Now she would punish us and make us clean it up. "Clean this up and go to your room!" She said walking into the house and slamming the door.
Jo was emitting anger. "What does she expect us to clean it with? Our tongues?!" She said angrily.
Right after she said that, the door opened and out came a bucket filled with soap and water and a couple of rags.
Before we started cleaning, Jo took out her phone and snapped a picture of the house.
It took us 2 hours to clean that damn house.
Once we were done, Jo dumped the dirty water all over the front yard and stuck the rags to the windows. I brought the bucket inside and set it on the new carpet. The bucket was still dripping rainbow water so I felt a sense of satisfaction.
Me and Jo walked upstairs to my room. My room was exactly like Jo's except it had way different stuff in it.
While Jo's room is dark and creepy, mine was light and colorful. "We have some leftover spray paint." I said.
She grinned and ran downstairs, grabbing the spray paint while I covered all of my things with tarp. She came back up and we spray painted my room rainbow.
When we were done, we went into her room because we couldn't breathe in that stuff. We sat down on her bed and she got out her drawing pad. I got mine out too and we sat there drawing each other.
Our stomachs reminded us that it was lunch time so we went downstairs and made pizza by hand. We got flour everywhere and were cleaning it up after we put the pizza in the oven.
"What are you girls doing?" Robert asked coming into the kitchen.
"What does it look like we are doing?" Jo said harshly.
"I'm sorry for whatever I did to piss you off. How can I make amends?" He asked.
"By dying a slow and painful-" She started saying before I covered her mouth.
"I think it's best if you went back upstairs." I told him ignoring the disgusting feeling of Jo's tongue on my hand.
Once he left, I pulled my hand away and wiped it on Jo. "That's disgusting!" I said.
"Why did you interrupt me?" She asked.
"I didn't want you to get into more trouble." I said.
She rolled her eyes and pulled out her drawing pad and started drawing while we were waiting. I did the same.
The oven beeped and we got the pizza out. We ate it immediately ignoring how hot it was.
"Girls." A voice said from behind us.
We turned around and saw mom. "What?" I asked.
"I just enrolled you in Konoha high school. (A/N: XD) You will be starting on Monday." She said walking away.
"Konoha high school? What a weird name." I said.
"Sounds lame. Why do we have to go to school?" Jo asked.
"So we can get jobs and leave when we are 18." I reminded her.
"Oh yeah." She said taking another bite of pizza.
We finished our pizza and spent the rest of the day drawing each other. At 10:56 we were finally done. We closed our eyes and passed our drawing pads to each other.
I opened my eyes and gasped at what I saw. She drew me perfectly. My brows were furrowed in the picture and I was frowning. I was intently staring at my drawing pad.
She gasped at the same time I did and I knew she loved it. I captured her when she was in her thoughtful state. Her face was so carefree when she is thinking.
"Thank you!" She said leaning over and hugging me.
"Thank you too." I said and we ripped out our pictures and kept them.
"I'm going to bed." She said yawning.
"Me too." I said. "Night."
"Night." She replied.
I went in my newly spray painted room and fell asleep instantly.
I woke up at 6:00, got dressed, and got Keely.
"Huh? What?" Keely asked her hair in her face.
"It's Sunday!" I said.
Keely jumped up and got dressed. "Let's go!" She said dragging me out the door.
We were both 17 and had licenses so we took the car and drove to our old neighborhood. Let me explain why we are so excited. We get to visit our dad on Sundays!
It took 30 minutes but we got there and walked up to the door. Jo knocked like a thousand times, but no one answered. We waited 5 minutes before I grabbed Jo and drove back to our house where our mom was waiting out front.
"If you would have left at a normal hour, I would have told you that your father went on a trip." The she-devil said.
"Trip? Where?" I asked.
"I don't know! He just told me he would be gone for a year!" She said and walked back inside.
"A-A year?!" I screamed.
"It's okay, Jo." Keely tried to calm me down, but I could sense that she was upset too.
"No! It's not okay! Get in the car." I said revving the engine.
"Where are we going?" Keely asked.
"McDonalds." I answered and she laughed.
"You made me freak out there for a second. I thought you were going to kill somebody." She said.
"Thanks." I said sarcastically.
"You know I love you." Keely said punching me.
"Hey! No punching the driver!" I said laughing and swerving a little on purpose.
"Remember when dad used to swerve to make us laugh?" Keely asked.
"Yeah I do." I said smiling at the happy memory.
I parked in McDonalds and we got out. I ordered an oreo McFlurry. I have no idea how I stays so thin. Keely ordered 2 bacon McGriddles. She knew that I would want one later.
We sat down at a booth and I pulled out my drawing pad. I started sketching a butterfly that was perched on a flower outside the window while Keely ate.
In the middle of my sketching, I grabbed the other McGriddle.
Keely smirked and finished hers. She also got out her drawing pad and started sketching a bee attacking the butterfly.
"And you say I'm the one that needs therapy." I said laughing.
"Shut up." She said playfully.
I just laughed some more. She threw her wrapper at me and I threw it back. That started a food fight and ended up with McDonalds employees kicking us out.
We laughed our butts off and got in the car. "Want to go to a different McDonalds?" I asked.
"Definitely." Keely said.
That's how we spent the rest of our day, getting kicked out of McDonalds. Good thing there are a lot of McDonalds over here.
A/N: That's it! Hope you like it! :)
