"I have smiled to many people for more than a billion times, but when I first saw you, my heart took over and smiled for the first time."

The sky was a deep blue that reflected Ally's feelings of happiness perfectly. Putting her camera to her face she took a breathtaking picture. She fell to the ground when someone ran into her and skinned up her hands. Looking up, she saw a cute guy on the ground. She couldn't help but smile at him.

"I'm so sorry." Ally stated as she made sure her camera was still intact. "I shouldn't have stopped in the middle of the sidewalk." She took a picture of the guy that bumped into her so she could have his picture and to make sure her camera still worked right.

"No, it's my fault." The guy insisted. "Did you just take my picture?"

Ally nodded and smiled slyly. "And what if I did?"

He shrugged. "I was just wondering. So do you have a name?"

"Actually, I do. Surprising right?" Ally smirked.

"That is surprising. What is it?" He wondered. His eyes shone bright with curiosity.

"I'm Ally. Do you have a name?" Ally asked.

"In fact I do." The stranger smiled. "It's Seth. So, um, do you like coffee?" He asked.

"I do and that's actually where I was headed."

"May I escort you?" He asked as he held out his arm.

"I would love that." She took his arm.

As soon as they walked into the coffee shop the smell of coffee reached Ally. The sunlight shone in, bright and beautiful. She smiled as they walked over to the line together. They were still linked and Ally couldn't help but think about how close they were. She also loved how warm Seth was; as if she was in his own little heat bubble.

Once they got their coffee, they unlinked arms and sat down across from each other. She holds the coffee in both hands because she doesn't have Seth's heat warming her up anymore. She had never felt cold before, but she did in comparison to Seth.

She took a sip of the delicious coffee. The coffee was calming in essence. She felt it warm up her whole body and she sighed. She instantly felt little happier.

"So what magic do you use?" Seth asked.

Ally felt her eyes go wide then she started to choke. She was about to suffocate when she stopped coughing. "What?!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, you heard me." He smirked.

"I'm not sure I did. I thought you asked what magic I use." She confessed.

"I actually did. So, are you going to answer the question?"

"Seriously?" When she saw his expression she started shaking her head slowly. "I don't use any magic. I think it's time to pull your head out of fairy tales, though.

Seth pulled out a notepad. "Lies to a police officer." He stated as he wrote it down.

"What?" Ally asked. She felt very confused. How had he known?

"I'm an undercover police officer. Now, answer the question." He yelled at her without raising his voice. He didn't want to draw any attention to them.

"I'm a pyromancer." Ally admitted. "How did you know that I was a mage though?"

"Your scent." He stopped writing in his notepad to gauge Ally's reaction. When he saw that she was even more confused than before he proceeded to explain. "I have a great sense of smell."

She nodded. "Are you a paranormal?" Ally asked.

"I am." He responded.

"What are you?" She questioned.

He shook his head. "That's confidential."

"Is that why you asked me out to coffee? So you could figure what type of mage I am?" She realized.

Seth nodded. Then when he saw Ally's hurt expression he started to elaborate. Why do I care about her so much?

"I've been investigating a murder case and I have reasons to believe that a necromancer is involved with the killings. So if you were a necromancer…" He trailed off.

"You would have hauled me in for questioning." Ally finished.

"Exactly. Now that I know you're not a necromancer, I was wondering if you would still be willing to help me."

"How?" Ally asked.

Seth just smirked. Then he got up and threw something on the table. He walked out into the bustling crowd and disappeared.

Ally picked up the card with his phone number on it. She got up as well. When she got outside she headed in the direction of the paranormal library. She was determined to figure out what he is.
