He was happy he chose him. Darrel Johnson was happy he chose him. At first Darrel thought that Holiday Man would get caught or get Darrel caught. But then he reassured himself that Holiday Man was one of the best- no the best hit man out there. Darrel had heard of his methods. They varied depending on the holiday. Tomorrow was St. Patrick's Day. Darrel was told that Holiday Man used a gold coin with emeralds to decide how to kill his victims. To Darrel, it was rather gruesome and cruel, but he wasn't complaining.
As long as Holiday Man got his job done...
Holiday Man was watching the St. Patrick's Day parade go by. A lot of people were watching it including people who should have been at work.
Holiday Man made his way through the crowd of excited people towards a large building. He was dressed in a green tuxedo and had a green hat on. He carried a fake red beard and a cane. As Holiday Man neared the large building, he put on the beard. He rather hated this next part. It was humiliating.
He entered the building and went to the front desk.
The man there, fat and grumpy, looked at Holiday Man and rolled his eyes. " What do you want?" he asked.
Holiday Man swallowed. " Lepre-gram for Phil Anders."
Whatever, The man said. "He's on the top floor."
"Thank you," Holiday Man said and walked towards the elevator. He got in and, to his pleasure, there was no one else there.
He pressed the top top button- twenty-four- and waited. As he stood there, he thought about his title.
He didn't really like it. "Holiday Man" just didn't strike fear into people's hearts. His real name was William True. That sounded a lot more menacing. But it was his fault that he chose his reputation of only working on holidays.
Holiday Man took out his coin. Pure gold with eight emeralds on each side. On one side there was a picture of a gun. On the other side there was a picture of a knife. he had both in his cane.
The elevator stopped and Holiday Man stepped out. He walked towards Phil Anders office and saw that he was talking with a woman. He waited for a while, then the woman ran out crying. Maybe, Holiday Man thought, he was doing someone a favor by killing Anders.
He entered the office and Anders looked up from the papers he was reading. Holiday Man put on a smile.
"Lepre-gram," he said. Anders glared.
"No," he said, his voice scratchy. "Get out."
"Oh, I can't do that." Holiday Man took out his coin and flipped it. It landed on knife.
"Knife," he said. He took his cane and pounded it hard on the ground. A large one-foot long blade protruded from the end.
Anders eyes widened. "Security!" he yelled.
Holiday Man cursed. "Oh, Phil. You just killed-" he looked behind himself and saw two security guards coming. "Two men," he finished.
One guard ran up to him and Holiday Man elbowed him in the face. The guard fell, clutching his face. The second guard came and he kicked him in the stomach. The guard doubled over in pain and fell next to the first guard.
"Really?" Holiday Man said. "Thats it? I was hoping for more of a challenge. Oh, well." He flipped his coin and it landed on gun. "Gun," he said and took his cane. He pulled on the top hook handle and out came a gun. Holiday Man pointed it at the second security guard just as he looked up. Holiday Man smiled and shot him.
He flipped the coin again and it landed on gun once more. Holiday Man shot the first guard and turned his attention back to Anders.
"Your turn. You still have knife." Holiday Man stated towards Anders but the elevator door opened and five security guards ran toward him.
Holiday Man held out his hand towards the guards and pointed his gun at Anders."stop," he told the security guards. He took out his coin again. "I think this flip will decide all of your fates. I don't want to take you all down one by one." Holiday Man flipped the coin again. As it spun in the air he mumbled, "Gun, come on gun." He caught it, looked at it, and cursed. Knife. He took the blade and put the gun back into the cane. Then he charged at the guards.
They all stepped back by instinct. Holiday Man jumped, flipped. and stabbed one guard in the throat. Holiday Man landed and kicked behind himself. he caught a guard in the jaw and sent him stumbling into the three other guards. Two of them and the guard he kicked fell down. The one standing took out his gun. Holiday Man lunged forward just in time with his blade. He impaled the guard and he dropped.
The two guards who had fallen stood up now. Holiday Man kicked one in the knee cap and broke it. The man went down, clutching his leg. The other guard ran towards Holiday Man taking out his gun. Holiday Man didn't have time to use the blade, so he punched.
Now, Holiday Man's punches aren't ordinary. They're much, much stronger. With the impact of the punch, the victim's neck breaks. Then, as the victim land from soaring, he breaks his neck again on the wall, floor, or desk. Then the effects of the punch in the face start to reveal themselves. The nose is broke, the jaw is snapped, and the face almost caves in.
Holiday Man glared at the dead man he punched. "You just escaped your fate," he said. he turned around and and saw the guard with the broken kneecap reaching for his gun. Holiday Man threw his knife, for the guard was too far away to run at, and and it stabbed the guard in the eye. The guard screamed and went down.
Holiday Man walked over to to pick up his blade. He looked over at Anders and saw him trying to escape. Holiday Man took his knife and ran at him. Anders made it to the elevator but it didn't open in time. Holiday man kicked him in the gut, kneed him in the face, and stabbed him in the chest.. Anders looked at him, wide-eyed. Then he died.
Holiday Man felt someone looking at him. He turned and saw the woman who had run from the office staring at him. He put on a smile.
Did I do you a favor?" he asked her.
She looked down at Anders' body and smiled.
"Well, I'd get out of here, if I were you. Before I flip my coin," Holiday Man took out his coin.
The woman's smile dropped and she ran down the stairwell.
Holiday Man walked up to the last living guard. The one whose jaw was broken.
He lifted him up and put the blade to his neck.
"Do you have a family?" Holiday man asked.
The man moaned.
"Oh that's right. I broke your jaw. Just nod and shake your head. Do you have a family?"
The man remained still.
"Oh, come on. I'm not going to kill them. I'm a hit man. Not unless I'm paid to kill them."
The guard hesitantly nodded.
"I'm terribly sorry then. Because you're undoubtedly going to die. If you give me their address, I can leave them a gift basket."
The guard shook his head.
That's perfectly understandable. You should never trust a hit man. Well, again, I'm terribly sorry. Goodbye." And Holiday Man slit his throat.
He went to the stairwell and walked all the way down. As he did , he rejoiced the fact that that Anders was the only worker on the top floor.
Holiday Man reached the first floor and went out the back door. When he was far enough away from the large building, he took off his the beard the and hat.. Holiday Man walked over to the parade, which was still going on, and watched it.
He would collect the money afterwards.
