This memory was something that truly happened to me...
I smiled to myself as I remembered a fond memory that I had about 2 years ago...
I was on the bus, riding away from my middle school for the last time. There was no reason for me to ever come here. Everyone was screaming and yelling. It was the last day of school, so nearly everyone was excited. Cheers of joy and few tears were shed. Unfortunately, I was one of those few people that shed tears. I was moving away towards the end of the summer and I wouldn't see many of these faces again. It made me so sad, I deserved to cry.
I braced myself for the tears to come and stared out the window.
"Hey, you alright?" my friend asked. Uh-oh.
"Ye-yeah?" I forced out, still looking out the window.
"What are you going to during the summer?" I sighed and turned to face her. My face was red from the tears I was shedding.
After I turned around and everyone saw that I was in tears. They all started trying to cheer me up.
One of my friends, Dan, started punching the guy that I like gently. Everyone was shouting profanities that mad me laugh. WIthin a couple of minutes, my tears were dry and I was happy again, not caring that I wasn't going to see them again. I really liked my friends. They were there when I was sad and didn't make fun of me, in fact, they cheered me up. They knew what I liked best and that changed me. I felt truly happy by them. You can't dwell on what's going to happen, you can't change that, but you can enjoy what's happening.
I smiled to myself again, thinking back on this memory. I looked at my computer screen in English, pulling my face close to hide my smile.
Memories are a great thing and keep me going in life. They make me remember all the good times when I'm going through a tough time. You may think that something horrible is going on, but once you think about a past event, something that makes you happy, that horrible, sad feeling leaves. They are the way to achieve something great. If you did something in the past, you know that you can do the same thing in the future. Sometimes you can't get better by knowing something or make yourself happy by watching a comedy, so a good place to start is with your memories.
I actually recalled this memory while in english XD instead of focusing... :P It was a nice memory to recall and remember
