Family is an odd thing
They're the people you grow up with
And the ones who teach you how to live
Your parents are supposed to love you
They teach you necessary life skills
And protect you from danger
Older siblings teach you how to have fun
How to make friends
And sometimes are your best friends
Younger siblings can be annoying
But even they teach you patience and responsibility
So you can be ready for life
Family can be weird and crazy
And may not even be actual blood relatives
But no one ever said that's wrong
You may not have been raised by the people
Who brought you into the world
But you did have family
A family who loves you
People who will never let go of you
And someone who will always support you
