Darkness

The holiday season. For most, a time of cheer.

But for one, a boy, it's a time of despair.

No family for him, it's not fair.

The boy finds nothing but fear.

The boy cries, he weeps,

For no one comforts him in his time of need.

He begs on the street, just to feed

And he has nowhere to sleep.

He's fed up with it, he finds a shard.

He rushes a man, the man shoots.

The boy falls, deeper into the darkness, into the peace.
