"Tearing me apart cause you don't see"
Two months, he gave her two months for time; he certainly hoped that was enough time for Scarlett. If it wasn't, well, he hoped that his senior year was a bit better. It would be since he wouldn't be getting in a fight over Emma.
He looked over his schedule, a little saddened that he wouldn't be seeing Dr. Anderson as much as he used to, but he would see Professor Gordon more.
"James!" He looked up, startled. He was met with Scarlett's hesitant gaze.
"Scarlett," He breathed, relieved, "How are you?" Now he felt stupid, really why did he always have to ask that?
Scarlett chuckled at his nervousness, and he had to smile, at least he made her laugh, "I don't think that's what you wanted to ask me."
James smiled slightly, shaking his head. She always did know him so well. She sighed, "I've been thinking about what you said over the summer, and I would like to take you up on that offer. I do like you, James, and since you like me, why don't we give us a try?"
He felt a smile stretch across his face, "Really?" He would've cursed himself for squeaking, but he was too damn happy.
She smiled back, "Yeah, I really think so." If she was truthful, she was just as excited as James was. "Now come on, we got a senior year to rock." She gave him a coy smile before walking into the school.
James chuckled a bit disbelievingly, staring at her retreating from, "Somehow, you are the best and worst thing that has happened to me."
