"You Never Were Alone"

Another tortured angel now

Has spread her wings and flown.

Though many would have given aid,

She felt she was alone.

Abused and used by peers at school

Because of one cruel deed,

This angel sought but never saw

The help to fill her need.

Her story, fraught with misery

She shared for all to see.

To comfort others in this state

Became her final plea.

The hearts she touched will ne'er forget

Her face or yet her name,

Or yet her dream that no one else

Should ever face the same.

Although she felt she walked this road

With no companion nigh,

Millions now are stepping forward

To prove that was a lie.

Amanda, if you had held on,

Perhaps you would have known

Despite your thoughts that no one cared,

You never were alone.
