Lullaby

Sing me one last lullaby

Where trees dance in the moonlight

Darkness holds no meaning here

Safe in your arms

Sing me down softly into sleep

With sugar coated lies

Easier to force feed

Left to defend myself in a land of hurt

Lost in sleeps suffocating embrace

Nowhere to run, no escape

Lay me down gently

Cover me lightly, in paper flowers

Leave me here

Let me lie

And maybe one day

Sing my own lullaby
