I was summoned to the Dean of Sciences' study, there was supposed to be a hefty scholarship with my name stamped on it. Upon hearing this glorious news, I skipped hurriedly across campus in my excitement, forgetting that I had automotive transportation only 30 yards away. I dodged some very confused passerbys on the sidewalks, colliding with a few of them. I don't know why I was in such a hurry. I guess I'd never been in possession of a lot of money before and I didn't want it to get out of my reach.

By the time I reached Dean's room, my chest was heaving big, rugged breaths. While I was recovering, the door swung open. My eyes widened, I wasn't planning to speak to anyone until my breathing had steadied. I awkwardly stood up, and stuck out my hand. "Hi, I'm Elsie."

"Ah, Elsie. Come, come! There's a man here who would like to speak to you about your scholarship." The Dean had a friendly disposition. He was about 5'10, with bright green eyes and a bushy red mustache that curled at the ends.

I nodded and stepped inside. There sat a plump man with greasy slicked back blonde hair sitting in the Dean's chair. He smiled malevolently up at me.

"Why hello there, Ms. Trent. I have come to you regarding very urgent matters. If you hold up to our standards, you may be eligible to join the workforce a very important government facility."

"Errrm." I gaped at him, dumbfounded.

"I understand now that you are confused now, but it will all make sense soon…"

AN: What will happen to Elsie? Next Chapter will be up tomorrow. Possibly.
