Imagine

Pretend

Like you did once upon a time

Think

Remember,

What it was like to create this world

Everything was within reach. Nothing was impossible.

Do you miss it?

The land.

The one you've locked away, only to be seen at night.

Does it bother you?

No longer being in control

Unable to create, can only experience.

When did we lose the power?

The only real power we've ever had

We learned to plan, to calculate.

You think in terms of numbers,

But you dream only in music.

A castle in the clouds has no dimensions.

No length

No width

I write to see,

To remember

This canvas is close, close enough

To the world I once had

I sculpt, I try

To bring it back.

Every tap of the hammer causes harm.

It breaks. It falls apart.

The memory fades.

We, you and me,

Forgot.

Poof.

Gone.

The things that make it possible.

Where did it go?

To the back of our mind

To sit and whisper to us.

Does it beckon for our return?

I wish we could.

Return.

Remember.

Relive.
