It was the day of his wedding and Josh was standing right inside of the large stone chapel, waiting for Lily to appear before him so they could be wed. He took deep breaths as he walked down maroon carpeted isle. He stood next to his father, Tim and his uncle Daniel. He saw his Stepmother sitting next to Tori and Mina.

He stood as a gentleman, posture perfect eyes down the aisle and not towards other women. His father was saddened that he could not choose love over power, but still supported the decision his son had made. Tara was sitting in the back row, next to a foreign man who was her fiancé he was pale with silver locks, but not from old age, his body was young and toned. She looked miserable in her current state.

"God, please help me." Josh thought as he placed his hands in his lap and breathed deeply. There was a flowing snow-white gown appearing on the rose filled aisle, Lily's brunette locks were held tightly in a long bun, with tightly curled strands coming down from it. A small veil covered half of her face, only showing blood-red lips and a flawless white smile as she strode down the aisle.

Josh's father placed a hand on his son's shoulder and whispered "son, you still have some time to leave, I'll understand." Josh smirked and said "I'm still debating, Father." Lily flashed her eyelids and mentally communicated "Knock it off, or I'll castrate you!" Josh stood and waited for his bride-to-be to arrive at the altar.

Tara looked up and a sorrowful face appeared, making Josh saddened as well. Lily arrived at the Alter and smiled as Josh lifted her thick and gauzy veil over her head. The pastor stood in the middle of them and began speaking "today we are gathered here to bond the love of Miss Lily Halt and Earl Joshua Welsh in holy matrimony. Marriage is a solemn institution to be held in honor by all, it is the cornerstone of the family and of the community. It is not to be entered into lightly, as marriage is a sincere and mutual commitment to love one another. This commitment symbolizes the intimate sharing of two lives and still enhances the individuality of each of you." Josh began sweating heavily and pulled at his collar. His father and uncle began laughing as Lily gave him the death stare.

The father then looked at Josh and asked "Josh, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, remaining faithful to her as long as you both shall live?"

Josh looked to the father and said "I'm sorry, but no. I don't love her and if I don't love her then I can't marry her."
The father's eyes widened as he heard the youth's words he threw so casually. "Oh bless this church, Father!" The father said as he looked at the floor.

Josh looked to the very last pew in the church and said "the woman I love is sitting right there!" Josh left a very pissed off Lily at the large alter and grabbed Tara's gloved hand. "Josh! What do you think you're doing!?" she said excitedly "marrying the women I've loved since I was a mere boy." Josh smiled sweetly and picked her up into his arms and carried her out of the church and to the carriage.

Tim looked at Francine and said "If my son has the balls to stand up to you then so do I! I want a divorce!"
"What?! You are mine until death, you ungrateful BASTARD!" Francine yelled into the echoing church.

"Oh dear Lord!" The father said under his breath.
Lily looked to Tori and yelled "GO GET HIS ASS AND BRING IT BACK HERE…NOW!" Tori looked back and said "h-huh, sorry I don't work for bitches" and walked out of the large cathedral. The guests looked around, very confused; the father looked around, fell to his knees, and began praying to God, praying that everything would settle down. Mina stood up and cheered as she left the church with Tim and Daniel. The other guest soon poured out of the cathedral

Tara was carried out to the horse-drawn carriage by the only man she had ever wanted. He gently placed her in the middle of the cushioned bench and sat beside her, playing with her honey scented hair. "Where do we go now, my love?" Tara said as she pulled close to Josh's rough lips.

"I don't know. Where do you want to go?" Josh asked before sealing their love with a kiss.

"How about we stay in here? We'll get your father's law firm and you'll be powerful like you want to be." Tara said as she rested her head on his broad shoulder.
Josh looked into Tara's emerald-green eyes and said ''no, I don't want that anymore. I want to live somewhere like the country, where everyone is pleasant and cheerful all the time. Doesn't that sound incredible?"
Tara smiled and said "it actually does, let's do that!"
And so they moved out and lived in a small country side house and raised two children name Alice and Danny, they grew up in a loving and caring home. Josh was finally happy in his life with Tara. Tim divorced Francine, and took power of the law firm and gave it to his daughter Tori, who married the man Tara was supposed to (of free will of course). The father of the church had a heart attack and is resting in heaven. Mina retired as a maid and lived with Josh and his wife Tara.
The End! I hope you liked it!
