Kill Me For Music

Tears torn from my eyes
By the softest of hands.
Cheeks and eyes run red
With blood bound by salt
And water.
Liquid and weak
In sight of such beauty.
Such unspoiled,
Untainted beauty.

The claws that rip at
My heartstrings play
The most gorgeous of melodies:
The deeper the tear,
The richer the sound.
So wound me deeply,
Prolong the pain,
As the tears that choke
Causes the most wondrous of
Songbirds to sing.

Eyes bright with
Terror and tears,
Both mine and theirs.

You feel nothing.
You just sit and smile
As the performance ends
And I fall, lifeless
At your feet.
