Surrounded by strangers, friends and family,

Their remarks of my insanity pounding in my mind,

Telling me I'm in the wrong and thinking unclearly,

I try to block them out, covering my ears and closing my eyes,

Screaming at them to leave me be,

You appear among the crowd,

Fighting your way to reach me,

Grabbing my hand and pulling me away,

You take me close into your warm embrace,

Blocking out the world around us,

Gazing deep into my eyes, kissing me soft and slow,

Telling me we are the only ones that matter,

Chasing away all my doubts and worries,

Bringing my tattered and torn heart back to life,

Kissing away all my scars,

Whispering hushed "I love you's" against my cheek.
