Mankind

Humans are very odd creatures.

Not just for our strange features.

We have the ability to think,

Yet we are never in sync.

We are never on the same page.

We are always consumes by rage.

We are fueled by our own greed,

And don't care what others need.

We don't care if towns burn,

We think it is none of our concern.

Who cares if fellow men die?

No one ever questions why.

If we don't break this mold,

More destruction will unfold.

What does the future have in store?

Does it consist of war?

I can't help but ache,

For the day we understand our mistake.

I fear it is far too late.

And destruction is may be our fate.
