"Alright, what film are we watching first?" Cade asked as he flopped down next to me on the sofa. I burrowed further under my covers and into the sofa.
"None! Just leave me alone Thomas!" I moaned, trying to kick him.
"Wow you're cranky when you're ill. You can't blame anyone else except yourself Boo." He said with a chuckle.
"If you're going to stay here, don't be dickhead! I blame you." I muttered into the sofa. Cade placed his hand on my thigh.
"And why would I get the blame? You went out with barely anything on; that's your fault." He questioned.
"You weren't there to make sure I had a jacket. You're supposed to look after me; you know I don't think about those things." I answered, looking at from over the blankets.
"I told you not to go out until I got back. You shouldn't have been out in the first place, but especially if I'm not here. This is why." He gestured to my soup on the table next to me and held up my throat sweets in his hand.
"Yeah, yeah whatever. What films have you got?" Cade smiled and picked up the films.
"21 Jump Street, Harry Potter and The House At The End Of The Street." Of course, his favourite films.
"You're selfish! Those are your favourites and I'm the ill one" I moaned. Cade smirked. He moved to the DVD player and put in the film. "You know you really are a jerk! I don't know why I even put with you! Sometimes you drive me crazy you know that? Actually no screw that, you drive me crazy all the time! You have no idea how much I wish I hated you. I mean you're just so…" I cut off my rant when I heard the theme music for the film Cade had put in.
'You got a friend in me. You got a friend in me. When the road looks rough ahead, and your miles and miles from your nice warm bed you just remember what your old pal said: you've got a friend in me.'
Cade looked at me as I looked between him and the screen. "You… You… Toy Story!?" I shouted, and then grabbed my throat. Man that hurt.
"You think I don't know my girls favourite film ever? Give me a bit more credit Boo" He asked. I smiled and leant over to him, pressing my lips to his gently.
"Thank you. And I'm sorry I'm a bitch; I just really hate being ill." He shook his head and kissed me again.
"I know," He whispered against my lips.
He pulled me against him and wrapped the blanket around the both of us. We sat watching the best movie ever made in comfortable silence.
In case you were wondering, my name is Boo… wait Tenley Davidson. The super sweet jerk with his arm wrapped around my waist protectively is Cade Thomas, also known as my boyfriend. I like to hate on him but I have to admit he is the best. Not every girl gets the guy of her dreams to come to her house and watch her favourite film when she's ill. But I do. Because he loves me. And my brother is his best friend. That's kind of important part to. But Cade is perfect. He can be annoying and really jealous and over protective but he is my guy. And I love him.
"Boo, are you even watching this?" Cade muttered, snapping me from my thoughts.
"Yeah, of course I am. I just zoned out for a minute." I replied. A few minutes passed with no words being spoken until I started thinking again.
"Why do you call me Boo?" I asked. Cade looked at me for a second, before sighing.
"Why do you always ask that?" Cade replied.
"Because you never give me an answer. I mean you call me it that much I sometimes introduce myself as Boo Davidson, but I don't get where it came from." I answered.
"Where's your sense of mystery? Come on Boo, just let it go." Cade dismissed the conversation and I felt let down.
"Is it something bad? Is that why you won't tell me? Because I don't have any other ideas why you wouldn't want me to know." I asked my voice small. Cade turned to me abruptly.
"You really think that? That it's something bad?" He asked incredulously. I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know Cade." The movie forgotten about we were back onto the subject of my nickname. The nickname I had spent hours trying to work out what it meant and where it came from but to no avail. And Cade was no help whatsoever.
"It's not bad. It's the best thing." Cade didn't look away from me.
"Then why don't you just tell me. It's not just a name anymore Cade; it means something to you, I know it does." I urged him, practically begging him with my eyes.
"I'm not denying that. I just can't tell you what it means at the moment. When the right time comes I'll tell you, I promise." I shook my head.
"Why not no w?" I asked him.
"Let it go Boo, please." I looked at him. I didn't really want to let it go, but Cade was being serious and I decided to leave it.
"Okay, I won't ask again." Cade smiled gratefully and kissed me.
We didn't hear the front the door open or someone coming into the living room.
"Oh dude gross! Playing tonsil tennis with my sister! Really? And in my living room?" My brother Connor came into view and I pulled away from Cade quickly.
"Can't help that she is irresistible buddy." Cade replied quickly and i blushed like crazy.
"Dude really? She's my sister!"
"Yeah and she's my girlfriend."
"I see she's feeling better," Connor sighed as he dropped onto a bean bag chair in the middle of the room.
"She's still here you know!" I muttered as I got up off the couch.
"Yeah and she better be getting to bed because she has school tomorrow." God I hate my brother sometimes.
"So do you and Cade but I don't see you jumping into your pj's," I retorted.
"Me and Cade are older than you, and while dads away I'm in charge." I sighed. I wasn't going to win this battle and my head hurt so I shook my head.
"I'll see you in the morning then." I turned to go upstairs and I had got to the first step when I felt a hand on my waist, helping me up them. Cade was taking me to my room to make sure I was okay, because it was clear I wasn't. We were in my room and I climbed into my bed. It was cold and I shivered and Cade must have noticed because he climbed into my bed next to me, wrapping his arms around me.
We stayed there for a little while and eventually I felt Cade moving out of my bed.
"Sleep well Boo." He whispered in my ear, kissing my cheek.
"Are you staying tonight?" I asked.
"Probably so… I'll see you in the morning Boo. I love you." I smiled.
"I love you to Cade."
He left my room and I smiled when I heard him downstairs with Connor.
"Toy Story Cade? Really? Dude you are so whipped!" I heard Connor exclaim.
"Yeah dude, I totally am. I love your sister." I grinned hearing my brother's best friend's words.
We were good and happy and in love.
