Guess who's back again!

Alex walked through the front door hours later, feeling more relaxed and carefree than he had for a very long time.

"Neal," Alex called, going up the stairs to the office. He opened the door with a smile and walked over to Neal, "How did I know you were in here?"

"It's my office. It's kinda where I work, you know," Neal said, not looking up from the papers in his hand. Alex frowned, "Are you busy?"

"Just a bit," Neal answered. Alex sighed boredly, sitting on the desk, "Wha'cha doin'?"

"Work," Neal said in a very exasperated tone. Alex smiled, "Come on, I'm bored. Let's go do something."

"You just got home," Neal said with a sigh. "You went to lunch with your sister. Seems like that went well."

"Sure did. I really missed Liz," Alex said faintly. Neal nodded, "Good. I'm glad. Why don't you go bother someone else for a few hours while I finish up here?"

"Bother someone else? I didn't realize that I was bothering you now," Alex said, feeling hurt. Neal sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose before setting down his papers, "You're right. I'm sorry. I'm just tired. What do you want to go do?"

"Nothing really," Alex softly admitted. "Just wanted to bug you." Neal smiled, rubbing Alex's thigh, "How about a marathon of shitty movies after I finish up with these last few papers?"

"Can I still sit here though?" Alex asked with a smirk. Neal rolled his eyes, leaning up to kiss Alex's nose, "Only if you promise to behave."

Alex grinned, "Promise? Not a chance, babe." Neal smiled, "I know you better than to expect that much, darlin'."

Alex leaned down to kiss him before crossing his legs and grinning deviously. Neal rolled his eyes and turned back to his paperwork.

Alex frowned at the way Neal was acting. More interested in work than lounging around the house with Alex? What had happened in the_ three hours_ that Alex had been gone?

"Neal?" Alex asked hesitantly. Neal looked up, "Hmm?"

"Is everything okay? I mean, nothing major going on, right?" Alex asked hurriedly. The last thing he wanted was Neal mad at him.

"Mmh, yeah. Everything's fine," Neal said, still not away from his desk.

Alex hated being lied to especially when he could tell in his gut that Neal was lying.

"We are in serious shit," Neal said with a groan. He pinched the bridge of his nose and said to his loyal Confector, "I don't know what to do."

Confector rested his chin on Neal's desk, whining softly. He pawed at Neal's side, looking like he was saying something that Neal was too stupid to get through his thick skull.

Neal nodded, "I know. I know. I'm a huge fucking idiot for not realizing what Luxuria and Ira had in mind. To both have a vessel that couldn't be taken away without killing them."

He felt frustrated and angry. Something he hadn't had the opportunity to do in several months. Neal ground his teeth and stood up.

"I'm King of the Angelica, damn it. The most powerful demons on earth or in hell," he said firmly, not letting his voice waver. He walked to the mirror near him and said to his own reflection, "Luxuria, you are not me. I am not you. I have the authority and power to cast you out of my family and my body."

Luxuria's face appeared in the mirror as she laughed, "We both know that you can't do that. Not even close to it, Hun. Now, be a good boy and do as you're told."

Neal shook his head, "I have a problem with people trying to order me around. I always have. Now, shut up and get out of my head."

Luxuria glared, "No. This is my meat suit now. I run the show."

Neal smiled, "You hate me, don't you? You can't control me like you could before. You wanted me because you want to beat Ira to the punch. Well, news flash, bitch, this is my meat suit. My body and my life. Do not fuck with me."

The mirror shattered under his focus and Neal laughed, "Too easy." His voice didn't waver with Luxuria trying to take control anymore. She was all but nonexistent in his mind.

"Confector, go get Morgan and his angel. We have a lot of business to discuss," Neal smiled and leaned back in his chair.
