Her flame

The glow burns bright at the hour of midnight,

Through the hardship and hatred.

Her flame keeps burning never flickering,

Or waving in the wind of self pity.

As she stands tall believing in the best,

Never giving up.

Never backing down,

Her eyes shine with hope.

Even when no one else can see it,

People tell her mean things.

Telling her she's better off dead,

As she tries her best to make things right.

When she did no wrong,

But takes the punishment for others' faults.

The flame grows brighter with each step,

Each hit as she knows there's something better out there.

Her flame burns the brightest at all in this world.
