I like to see life as a puddle of petrol,
That glistens different colours in the sun.
Depending on your view of the world that day
You either lose or you have won.
When you see petrol on the cold concrete floor,
You tend to keep your distance.
So none of the stains can be left on your clothes,
And get away as quick as an instant.
However on a warm day, when it glistens softly in the light,
You see the puddle in a complete different way,
It makes such a beautiful sight.
But if I had one thing to say,
Just one little piece of advice.
Both with life and with spilt petrol on the floor,
Try not to set it alight.
