Teddy Bear

I am

A soft teddy bear with a button nose

With a little dress that shimmers and glows

A halo that encircles my head

One of the zoo that lives on her bed

I am

A favorite companion, still soft and brown

The halo lost, replaced with a crown

Taken on walks and picnics and off to balls

Fun forever, 'till the clock's hand falls

I am

A forgotten playmate, half-hidden on a shelf

Left all alone, no one but myself

My friend has found her prince

Sitting for years, never seen since

I am

A remembered friend, finally found

Tears fall gently to the ground

I comfort her, just like a mother

Her prince has left her for another

I am

An honored partner, with a seat of my own

I look happily at my friend's white gown

Beautiful as a flower, with a true prince at her side

Their love is as deep and true as the tide

I am

A beloved toy, worn with troubles and love

Little hands pet me, gentle as a dove

A little crown encircles my head

One of the zoo that lives on her bed
