Fear me, December

For I have ice that can rival your own

Freshman friend, the game has changed

The seasons come and go

And you're out of date

Winter you're welcome to wash away the stains

Winter bring your own forms of violence

Remember remember the winds of December?

The howling, icy winds of December?

Winds so cold they could make your ears sing red

Blood red, lust red, and rose red

Roses red coated with the icy blue silk of frost

A terrible beauty that none yields accepting

A harsh loveliness but a loveliness none the less

Blood and frost froth the sky in violet strokes

And the bittersweet flakes kiss the rotten ground

Winter bathe the world in white

Wash away the blood tears and the violent flakes

You are welcome here and

I fear you, December
