"What are you asking me to do" he said, his arms locking me in against the brick wall of the building. Any other time, I would have backed down, would have given up, but something was different tonight.

"I'm asking you to kiss me" I growled into his ear. I saw his green eyes darken into nearly black orbs, and a ferocious grin take over his face.

"You sure you can handle it sweetheart. I'm a feisty one."

I wrapped my hands around his neck, my fingers getting lost in his brown hair and I pulled him down to my level. Smirking, I ran my leg against his.

"I'm positive." I purred. His lips pressed into mine, and my back crashed against the wall. He kissed me with such passion it was hard to think we had only met a few hours ago. His hands had slipped up my shirt and he pulled me closer to him. I slightly bit his lip, earning a growl from him. I sighed into his mouth, and let all thoughts of rationality leave my brain.

He pulled away and took a deep breath. "We should stop."

"What! Why!"

"My mother taught me how to be a gentleman."

"Maybe I don't want a gentleman."

"Sloppy seconds also isn't my forte."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm offering you free sex, and you're going to be gentleman!"

"Why'd you pick me love." he said, a smirk playing on his lips.

"You have a sexy British accent, my heart was just broken, and I would not mind seeing you in my bed."

He laughed, a deep beautiful laugh that had my insides squirming. "You're weird."

"I'm not the one pushing a girl away."

"Please don't be offended. Can I buy you a drink love?"

I glared at him. He held out his hand and I took it, hoping that maybe I could at least get drunk enough to get my ex of my mind.

"Name's Matt." the Brit said, taking a cigarette out of his pocket.

"Lydia." I responded. He glanced at me sideways.

"Never seen you around here before."

"Well, I wanted to disappear for a while, so I decided to check out this side of town."

"How you liking it so far." he took a drag of his cigarette.

"Could be better, if I choose a more complying British guy. You look hot when you smoke, just saying."

He chuckled, and threw his arm around my shoulder. "Why thank you. Not going to help get you laid though."

"Stopped trying. A girl can only take so much rejection in one night." I was suddenly dragged into the bar.

"Well, Miss. Lydia. Let's make the most of what we have left of this night."

The bed I woke up in definitely wasn't mine. It was too big, too warm, to comfortable to be the bed I was use to. I opened my eyes and stretched, and looked around the room. The walls where painted a dark blue, with white trim, and it was very neat. I was still in my clothes from last night. The bed side table held a phone and a pack of cigarettes.

"Good morning, Sleepy head"

I jolted up, and looked at the door. "Matt?"

"Hey, you remember my name. That's a start. No, we didn't sleep together, I slept on the couch. I didn't know where you lived, and you were so drunk I had to carry you. Any other questions."

I looked up at him, and felt a huge surge of pain to my brain.

"Please tell me you have Advil."

Matt's hand was held tightly in mine. "You know I'm not going anywhere, Lyd"

"Safety precautions" I mumbled, clenching his hand tighter.

"I'm not going to leave you in your hour of need."

"Something tells me you'd be the guy who when you wife is about to give birth, you'd realize you forgot to put batteries in the tape recorded, and then miss the whole birth looking for them."

"You have so much faith in me."

I rolled my eyes. "Just remember the plan."

"I will, I will. Where's the ass anyway."

My hands trembled a bit. I saw him easily, the guy who had broken my heart, cheating on me, after we had been dating or nearly 18 months. He was here, at the wedding of the mutual friend who had set us up in the first place, with the girl he had cheated on me with.

"There. With the blonde." I pointed over at the couple.

"She's ugly."

"You're just saying that cuz you have to."

Matt took my hand and pulled me over to them. "Hi, I'm sorry, you look really familiar. Have we met before?" he said, lightly tapping my ex's shoulder.

His mouth dropped open. "Lydia" he stood there dumbstruck. I felt Matt's hands wrap around my waist and he pulled me closer to him.

"Hello, Zack." I tried to put on smile. Zack had no idea what to do.

'This is Sophie. My girl friend." he said, like all of sudden remembering he was here with someone.

"This is Matt. My…."

"Boyfriend. You must be the Zack she so calls the ass who cheated on me."

I had to hold back the laughter. "That's what you call him Matt. I call you my ex." I said giving Zach a smile. His face had lost all of its color.

"Lydia. Trust me. I'm so sorry."

"Don't worry about it Zack. We both seem happier now." my heart was tearing itself up on the inside.

"How long have you two been dating?" Sophie asked, grabbing on to Zack's arm.

"Six months. Best six months of my life, baby." Matt said, placing a small kiss on my head.

"You moved fast." she sneered at me.

"Well, I guess. Matt came into my life just about a week after I walked in on you too. You guys moved fast too. I see you're engaged."

The big diamond ring glittered on her finger. Another crack.

"When you know, you know." Sophie said, glaring at me.

"Well, it has been nice meeting you guys. We're going to go and find the bar now. Congratulations." Matt said, taking my hand and whisking me off in the direction of the drinks. As soon as Zack and Sophie where out of sight, I felt the tears begin to prickle my eyes. I heard Matt order two drinks, and then he pulled my outside the venue. It was overlooking a gorgeous lake, and the sun was just setting.

"Come on, drink up Lyd. Those assholes aren't worth it." he said, placing the glass in my hand.

"Why the fuck does it hurt so much, Matt." the tears where falling freely now. Matt sighed, and he took me into his arms, resting his chin on the top of my head. Even in my heels, he was so much taller than me.

"I don't know baby. But he looked so upset that he let you go."

"But he moved on so quickly. They're getting married, for crying out loud. And here I am, pretending to date you so it looks like I moved on too."

"I must say, you and I would make very good looking babies."

I pulled away from the hug and slapped his arm.

"You make such a wonderful girlfriend too."

I glared up at him.

"Shut up Matt." I said.

"Make me, Lydia." he had an evil glint in his eye. I couldn't stop the giggled from coming from my mouth.

"You're stupid."

"And yet. You still love me." He placed another kiss on my head. "Let's go show the world how amazing of a fake couple we can be."

I jumped when I heard my door slam open, and footsteps trudge through the house. My heart was ramming in my chest, as I picked up the lamp next to my bed and cautiously walked out of the room. I placed hand over my mouth to stop myself from breathing so hard, and I walked out into the TV room.

"Fucking hell Matt. You scared the life out of me!" I yelled, placing the lamp couch. Matt looked at me blankly, his eyes sort of red, and then down to his arms, which were cradling something. I walked over to him, and glanced into his hands.

"What's in your hands?" I said, completely confused to why there was a rabbit wrapped in a blanket, sleeping peacefully in my friends arms.

"Her name is Arabell. She's my baby bunny. I bought her so I would have someone to love me." he said, no emotion in his voice. He lightly brushed his fingers along the bunny's fur and rocked her back and forth.

"But I love you, Matt." I said, whining like a 3rd grader. He looked up at me, his mouth slightly ajar. I crawled along the couch and sat next to him, resting my head on his shoulder so I could look down at Arabell.

"But my girlfriend doesn't."

I looked up at him.

"She broke up with me over text, about a week ago. I was sad, and needed someone to comfort me." he looked down lovingly at his arms. "Hence Arabell."

"Can I hold her?" I whispered holding out my arms. He scrutinized me, and gave me the baby bunny. "She's so pretty." I mumbled, softly rubbing her fur. Suddenly. Her eyes popped open, and she yawned a baby yawn. Arabell started to wriggle in my arms, and I looked at Matt, wondering what to do.

"Let her down. We'll have to watch her though." he ran a hand through his chocolaty brown hair and glanced at me. "Why the fuck does it hurt so much Lydia." he said. I pulled him into a hug, much like he did when I said the same thing at the wedding, two months ago.

"She's not even worth it." I said. He dug his head into my shoulder.

"You smell good, Lyd." he grumbled into my arm.

"Why thank you." I felt something rubbing my foot, and I bent down to pick up Arabell. "Daddy needs some cuddling." I said, rubbing her against his face.

"Rawr" he said, not looking up. I giggled and went to get up.

"Don't leave me." he whispered. "The voices will come back" his eyes opened wide.

"I was going to put on some music." I stage whispered back.

"I'm coming with you." he said.

I stood up, bunny in hands, and Matt wrapped his hands around my waist and walked behind me. He placed his head on my shoulder, and he lightly nipped my neck.

"Matt…" I said a warning in my voice.

"Mmhhhh" he hummed into my throat. I reached my ihome and touched the play button the music filling the small place. Suddenly I was pushed against the wall, and Matt was staring down at me. 'Give me Love' by Ed Sheeran spilled from the speakers. Arabell was staring up at Matt from my arms.

"Hi Lydia." Matt whispered.

"Hello Matt."

He took a piece of my hair and twirled it between his fingers. "Can you do something for Me Lyd?"

"What are you asking me to do?" I repeated his words from our first night.

He smirked at me, obviously remember.

"I'm asking you to kiss me."

My heart beat sped up, and I felt my cheeks heat up. I lightly bit my lip, and suddenly Matt's mouth was on mine. I pushed myself closer to him, and his hands came up to cup my face. There was a slightly scream from between us, and I felt something wriggling in my arms, we pulled apart, and Arabell looked at us, a grumpy look in her eyes.

Suddenly Matt burst out laughing, and he shook his head. Realization burst into me, and I leaned against the wall, tears prickling my eyes.

"I don't do sloppy seconds." I said, my voice shaking. Matt looked at me, and ran his hands through his hair. His arms then locked me against the wall and his body.

"You're defiantly not sloppy seconds. I've wanted to kiss you like that for about 4 months now. The other girls, where so I could try and get my mind off of you."

"Then why'd you get Arabell."

He pressed his forehead against mine.

"She was too pretty to pass up."

I looked up at him, I felt his hand wrap around my waist. "We make such happy family don't we." he said, rubbing his nose against mine.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm the Daddy, you're the Mommy, and Arabell is our beautiful baby."

"And you didn't miss her birth looking for the batteries."

Matt chuckled, and kissed me again. "So is that a yes, Lydia."

"A yes too..."

"Being my lovely girlfriend."

"I guess it is Matt."

"Thank goodness. I thought me and Arabell where going to have to face the world alone."

I giggled at him, and he pressed his against mine again, and I smiled into his mouth. One very happy family we where.
