Walking down the street

Seeing people you may never meet
You don't have to look at the stars
To know they're all still chasing cars

But it's more than chasing a car
It's chasing a dream that's just too far
You can see it in their eyes
You can see all the living lies

Concealed with an ego
Secretly saying, don't let me go
Wondering if love will last
Only hoping the pain will pass by fast

They all experience lasting despair
And live to say that it wasn't fair
They all have irresistible desires
But in the end get swallowed in the fires

They learn to wear a smile
And in the end walk another mile
Facing trail after trail
Slowly they die creating pile after pile

And then you think,
And use twenty bottle of ink
Just to convey
What all those people will ever wish to say
