Chad arrived the living room looking tired and worried.
He found out something the past.
He sat down on the living room couch and let out a deep sigh.
If Jaypee found out, it will not be good for her. He was aware that Jaypee was easily offended at certain things, and what he had found out will certainly hurt her.
While still drowning on his deep thoughts, he didn't noticed Jaypee approaching him with a worried look on her face.
"B-brother? What's wrong? Is everything alright?"
Her soft tone snapped him out of his deep thought. He looked at him and his chest ache. He tried his best to hide his pained expression. "Oh, everything's alright, Jay. Just stressed at work."
Unfortunately, she noticed his pained expression. She sat down beside him and looked at him straight in the eye.
"Please... tell me."
Chad didn't know what to do. Continue to tell lies or risk telling the truth? He didn't want to repeat the incident again.
He let out a deep sighed. "If you really wanna know... You will not like it."
Jaypee stared at him with wide eyes and mouth wide opened.
Yep, he risked it. And he hoped history will not repeat itself.
But unfortunately for him...
"Brother... can I go?"
Before he had a time to think, Jaypee stood up from her seat and and left to her room.
He sat there for a few minutes before following her. He wanted to give her some time to grieve alone.
Chad opened the door to see Jaypee sitting at the corner, facing it. He could hear her whimper as quietly as she could.
He sighed at the sight. Here she was again, hard to break, grieving on her own, not asking help.
She was having a hard time dealing with herself when it comes to jealousy and insecurity.
"Jaypee?" He tried to get her attention but to no avail.
She was staring at the corner, like she was waiting for a miracle to happen.
He knew he shouldn't told her but he was left with no choice.
He slowly approached her and made sure not to scare her.
Thankfully, he didn't scared her.
He crouched down beside her and looked at her. Her hurt expression made his heart ache more than before.
"Jaypee... I'm so sorry..." He looked down in shame. He hurt her again. He failed to keep her happy.
"There's no need to apologize, brother." She started poking the corner with her stick. I didn't noticed it earlier. "I'm just a pathetic one who embraced the sadness and scared to be happy because sadness will take it away from me."
As much as he wanted to tell her that she's wrong, he couldn't bring himself. It would be useless. He could do nothing about it.
"Jaypee, please... not this again..."
Jaypee looked at him and smiled sadly. Her tears were flowing freely. "I'm so sorry brother... I'm really am. I did my best to change but... it's still the same. I'm a failure, brother. I admit I am. All I wanted is to change to make everyone happy but... I'd only made it worst."
She stood up and approached the open window. Chad watched her in sadness and disappointment. He was also a failure. He didn't do anything to change her mind.
Now, she will end her misery once and for all.
