I crowded through the telescope

And counted what was there

But despite the wishes, the heavens above

Had plucked the chambers from the halls

And left their parks completely bare

My view was weeping, my heart was dreary

Soon the sun was barely beating

And the center of the universe was shifting

No longer were the dreams our leashes

Spitting through the grimy and decorated

Lips of all their inspiration

Sure enough the moon was ripped

But still-all their wishes came to be

Sassy and diligent, those stars that

Counting will never do

From the plastics the world created

I've lifted better off my shoe

But nothing is better

Than different and new

Nothing is better

Than knowing you
