He was sitting there beside me throwing doubles down

When he ordered up his third one he looked around

Then he looked at me

Said I do believe I'll have one more

He said I hate this bar and I hate to drink

But on second thought tonight I think

I hate everything

Justin was sitting next to a man named Louis. Louis never liked drinking, but when he was going through pain he felt that he had to sometimes. Louis's wife had left him for another man not to long ago, and Louis heart was broken. He honestly didn't understand why everything was happening to him.

"Hey buddy. Are you okay?" Justin had asked once he sat down next to Louis. Justin had just asked a complete stranger if he was okay, but he didn't care. That was the kind of thing that Justin always did. He knew that everybody needed someone, or at least that's what Keith Urban said in one of his songs. Justin had decided that he was going to be the someone that people needed, even if they were complete strangers.

"I'll be fine. Just a little torn right now." Louis replied to him. The look on his face was complete sadness, and Justin knew that he was not going to be fine. He needed to be happy. "Do you come here often?" Justin asked Louis as Louis looked at him. "Nope. I actually hate this bar. This is where a lot of stuff happened in the past. I use to come here when I was an alcoholic, and if fact this is where I met my soon-to-be ex-wife." Louis had said as Justin instantly felt sympathetic for the stranger sitting next to him.

"Well then why are you here now, buddy?" Justin asked the question hoping that it didn't sound mean. He was just curious to why he would be here if he hated this bar. "I needed to get away, so I decided to drink. This is the closest bar that I live by, so I decided to come here." "Well let me order you a drink." Justin said while flagging down the waitor so he could get some beers.

Then he opened up his bill-fold and threw a 20 down

And the faded photograph fell out and hit the ground

And I picked it up, he said than you bud, I put it in his hand

He said I probably ought to throw this one away

'Cause she's the reason I feel this way, I hate everything

When the 20 dollar bill got thrown down onto the table, Justin slowly started picking it up. "Look man, this was my treat. I'll pay for it." Louis then looked at Justin as soon as he said that and smiled a little. "It's the least I could do, man. Thank you for being there for me."

Justin smiled at Louis and then picked up the small photograph. "Hey bud. You dropped this. Louis hesitated for a minute. Justin could tell that something was wrong. This must be a picture of his wife. His wife sure was beautiful, and she looked nice, so Justin didn't understand why she would leave someone like Louis. From what Justin could tell Louis was a great guy, but of course he's not there behind closed doors.

After a minute Louis took the picture from Justin's hand and nodded his head. "That's my wife, Diane. She sure is pretty, isn't she?" Louis asked. All Justin felt comfortable to do was nod.

I hate my job, I hate my life

And if it weren't for my two kids I'd hate my ex-wife

I know I should move on and try to start again

But I just can't get over her leaving me for him

Then he shook his head and looked down at his ring and said I hate everything

Louis then sat down and started telling Justin all about his kids. Justin saw this smile on Louis face, and he knew that if it wasn't for his kids he wouldn't be happy at all. Louis had his kids on the weekend, and from the way he acted he enjoyed every minute of it. Justin ordered two more beers and handed one to Louis. For all Justin knew, he may need it. All this talk about Louis's wife leaving him, and only seeing his kids on weekend, made Justin thankful for his wife. They were having problems, but it was nothing like the problems that Louis and his wife were having. Justin didn't even want to bring his wife into the conversation.

He said one bedroom apartment where I get my mail

Is really not a home, it's more like a jail

With a swimming pool and a parking lot view, man that's just great

I hate summer, winter, fall and spring

Red and yellow, purple, blue and green

I hate everything

From what Justin had understood, Louis now lived an apartment. He had mentioned a few times that he hates it there, even if it has a swimming pool. Louis looked like he was a strong man. Justin was sure that if he really wanted a swimming pool, he could build one himself. Or atleast he could hire someone to make one at his house. Once again Louis started how at this point in time he hated anything and everything.

So I pulled out my phone and I called my house

I said babe I'm comin' home, we're gonna work this out

I paid for his drinks and I told him thanks, thanks for everything

Justin didn't want to bring up his own problems into the conversation, but it was getting late. Louis decided that it was time for him to leave for two different reasons. The other reason was because if he kept on drinking he was going to get drunk, and he didn't want that to happen. Louis had already told Justin that he was not a good drunk, and so if he ever drank he didn't want to get drunk. Justin had sat there and thought. He then looked up at Louis and gave him his 20 dollar bill back. "Man, I'll pay for your drinks. It's the least I can do. Thank you." Justin had said. Louis was a little confused, since he didn't know about Justin and his wife, and just smiled at Justin.

Once Louis had left, Justin pulled out his phone and called his wife. He decided that they were going to work their problems out. Justin told his wife that he was going to come home so they could work their problems out. "I don't want to end up like Louis and his wife." Justin's wife sounded confused on the phone, but Justin told her that he would tell her everything when he got home. Justin left the bar, and once he got home him and his wife decided to work all of their problems out.

10 years later, Justin and his wife Isabella were still married and expecting their third child. Justin and Louis ran into each other not to long after they met and became best friends. They keep in contact with each other, and Louis is actually the godfather of Justin and Isabella's kids. Louis ended up marrying Isabella's sister, and they were expecting their first child. Justin and Isabella were going to be the godparents of Louis's child.
