to the sky as leaves soundlessly fall
or to the mountains great and tall?
have you ever listened to a singal guitar
leaning up against the wall?
have you ever listened to a tree
or to the flowers wild and free
or to the love between you and me?
have you ever listened to the silence
that words can not fill
or to a broken heart
for a heart thats gone still?
have you ever listened to a meadow
who's secrets only feild mice know
and if you're silent It might show?
have you ever stopped and stood and watched
to remember the dream you thought you forgot?
