The sun disappeared from the sky,
Earlier with every passing day,
Filling the world with darkness yet again.
Days are getting colder,
Nights are getting longer,
And the wildlife continues to vanish.
Three months later,
The sun reemerges into the world.
People venture outside,
To the land that they left behind,
For the warmth and comfort of their homes.
They look around,
And see the green begin to resurface.
As the month goes on,
Roses will be blooming in the dark gardens we abandoned long ago,
And the world will be bright once again.
