I don't belong here
In this underwater world
My legs kicking out fast
Not knowing if the breath is the last
The natives are beautiful
Gliding with their scaled tails
Gem like eyes, golden hair
How could I ever compare
They try to ignore me
But their fury boils up
Either join the pack
Or run, run and don't look back
Tails are right, legs are wrong
Learn how it must be
My smile fades, my eyes fall down
The mermaids laughing as I drown
