A/N: My first Fictionpress story! Please review and tell me what you think.
My head leans
against the frosty window.
Blue curtains
framing my face.
It was there.
Why didn't I take it?
It slipped out of my grasp
like water through a river.
Tears slide down my face.
The Key is lost.
It doesn't even fit the lock.
Will it ever?
Over the horizon
the sun rises.
Light floods the room
streaming through the window.
The Key has been found.
Sunlight streams through the trees
peeking over the hill.
Today is the first day
Of the rest of my life.
Pass the Key
to someone else.
It could make all the difference
in someone's
Dark.
Windowless.
Room.
