Imagine me and you, I do

I think about you day and night

It's only right

To think about the girl you love

And hold her tight

So happy together

John has always had many feelings for Lillian. They met at the age of three when their moms ran into at a local grocery store. Their moms had been best friends in high school, but they lost touch when they went to different colleges. After they met at the grocery store their moms would take them for play dates, and they have been best friends ever since.

Since the second grade John could never get Lillian out of his mind. Her blonde hair was a river of gold, and he was drawn to her blue eyes. They were now graduated from college, and they remained close. John was still attracted to Lillian's blue eyes and long blonde hair.

John wanted to be with her. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he was to afraid of what she would say. He was in the friendzone, and though he wanted to get out of it, he was afraid too.

If I should call you up, invest a dime

And you say you belong to me

And ease my mind

Imagine how the world could be

So very fine

So happy together

Lillian had told John to call her if he ever needed anything, and he did need something. He needed to know how she felt about him. He wanted to know if she felt the same way about him that he felt about her. He was too afraid of asking her, but there was a part of him that was willing to take the chance.

John glared at her contact on his cell phone, wondering if he should call her or not. If he called her and told her how he felt, then it could end their friendship. He didn't want that, and he hoped that she didn't want that.

John had to make a decision, and deep down inside he knew he had to make it soon. John breathed in and knew that he would feel better if he told her how he felt, so that was what he was going to do.

John picked up his cell phone and decided that it was time for him to make the call. It rang a few times, but Lillian answered it. John couldn't help but smile when he heard her voice.

Hey Lillian. I have something to tell you, but I would rather see you in person than tell you this over the phone." Lillian agreed to meet John at a local Pizza King. John was so excited that once they hung up he couldn't quit smiling. He went straight up to his room and started getting ready for this non-date.

I can't see me lovin' nobody but you

For all my life

When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue

For all my life

You and me!

Me and you!

You and me!

Me and you!

John was waiting outside of the Pizza King at 6, and only a few seconds later Lillian showed up. They embraced in a hug, which they normally did, but this time it was different for John. He prayed that everything went good, but he of course had doubts in the back of his head.

They walked into the building and sat at a booth. Lillian didn't waste any time trying to figure out what John wanted to tell her. "So what did you want to tell me, John?" John thought for a minute. Was he going to tell her the truth, or was he going to make up something else.

"I need to be honest with you, Lillian. How long have we been friends?" "Since we were like three." "Exactly, and somewhere down the road I have developed feelings for you and I can't continue hiding them anymore." Lillian looked at John and then looked at the table.

Afraid of what Lillian was going to say, John looked away from her and leaned back in the seat. "What are you thinking?" He asked her, but she was speechless. There goes his friendship with her.

Me and you, and you and me

No matter how they toss the dice

It has to be

The only one for me is you

And you for me

So happy together

Lillian looked up at John and took his hand. "I'm speechless. I never thought you would have feelings for me." She had told him as he held her hand. "I've had feelings for you for a long time, John. I was just too afraid of what you would say, so I never told you."

John was shocked at what he had just heard Lillian say. Could this really be happening? John smiled, "Seriously?" He asked as Lillian looked over at him and nodded. Everything was perfect in this moment right now.

I can't see me lovin' nobody but you

For all my life

When you're with me baby the skies'll be blue

For all my life

You and me!

Me and you!

You and me!

Me and you!

You and me!

Me and you!

You and me!

Me and you!

Ten years passed and John was thankful that he told Lillian how he felt. Not only did they date, but three years ago he proposed and they got married in October of 2012. Not only did they get married but they are expecting their first child together.

One night Lillian and John were laying in bed together and Lillian whispered something softly in John's ear. "I'll love you until the day I die." Right then and there John knew that as long as Lillian was in his life, his life would be complete.
