You've Got To Be Kidding Me!

Written by: meeeoowth

ALEX POV

"Alexandra Catherine Garcia get out of that bed now!" Travis, my brother, shouted as he ripped the covers off me. I can tell he is pissed by the tone of his voice, which is disturbing me by the way, and by using my full name. I hate my full name.

I groaned against my pillow and tried to pull the covers back. Being a guy as he is, he already had stashed it to who knows where. I groaned again as he slammed a pillow over my ass. "Come on Alex! Get that little ass of yours out of that bed! We're gonna be late for school!"

"Then go on without me. I'm still sleepy." I said, as my head was buried against the pillow.

"Dammit Travis, What's taking so long?!" A voice came from the door. Judging from the pissed voice it was my other brother, Francis, Travis' twin.

"She won't get up you dweeb!" Travis answered. "A little help please?"

"Leave it. If she'll be late again then that's not our fault. Come on dweeb." I can hear their footsteps probably they were already giving up and went downstairs. Finally some peace and quiet. I was never the early bird type. I went to sleep late at night surfing the net or just texting then I wake up looking like the ape-thing in Temple Run 2. Oh well, let's go back to sleep.

Next thing I knew I was dripping wet in my own bed, fully awakened. I watched as my twin brothers as they laugh their teeth off with tears in their eyes. I saw an empty bucket at the foot of my bed. They never left the room. They just pretended that they did by making those footstep sounds.

I need new siblings.

They would always come up with a new scheme to wake me up every morning. From the dragging from the bed to the putting of ice down my shirt kind of scheme. Seriously, how did I end up with these two orangutans?

I remember my mom telling me the story of my birth. It was funny actually. My brothers wanted another brother in the house, so they begged my mom to give them a baby boy. How could she do that when she was already seven months pregnant with me? They were only a year old that time. After waiting another two months, they had me. A girl.

Well my brothers were the least disappointed, instead of treating me as normal big brothers would do, you know the protect-sister-from-the-evil-forces and stuff, they taught me how to wrestle our golden retriever. I always laugh at the thought of that scene. I was five then and they were six. And now as I glared at my beloved siblings I still can't believe that I let them live for the past seventeen years.

"You're going to pay for that." I screamed as I got out of bed. Travis and Francis quickly made a run for the door with Travis nearly slipping on a puddle of water.

"Wait till I get my hands on you two! I'm gonna stitch boobs on your faces!" I chased them down the stairs to the living room. Francis went out of the house as Travis dashed for the basement. I quickened my pace as I went after Travis. When I was about a foot from him I got a momentum and pounced unto his back bringing him down, face first.

"Ouch, ouch. Not the face, anything but the face!" Travis squealed like a girl as I pinned him to the floor.

"That looks fun." Francis said who just entered the room. Before I could even argue he jumped unto my back sandwiched between them.

"Get of you dweeb!" I shouted. "You're squishing _"

"What's going on here?!" Our mother's voice came to the room cutting me off. "Francis, get off your sister now." She said slightly slapping his back so he could climb off me.

"It's Travis mom." Francis lied scratching his head.

"That won't work on me honey. Get off your sister and help me prepare breakfast and Alex?"

"Yeah mom?" I answered.

"Go and change and get ready. You kids are running late already."

"Ma'am yes Ma'am!" I said with a sloppy salute and watched as she went back to the kitchen. My eyes followed my mom as she disappeared. She was a slender woman in her mid 40's with shoulder length straight hair with dark brown eyes and a fare complexion. She's a single mom for the past twelve years after our father left us for his mistress. I always pray for him to suffer and my brothers wished for him to die, wherever he is.

"Hey! Do you mind?!" A squashed Travis complained. It was then I remembered I was still on his back. I climbed off his back and helped him up. Man was he heavy. I wouldn't expect less from an athlete. The twins were both martial artists and swimmers. They were tall and muscular boys with jet black messy hair. I heard from school that girls go crazy over these buffoons. Gross.

"Double up your time twerp. We'll wait for you at the kitchen". Travis said as he followed mom and Francis in the kitchen. I stuck my tongue out as he said 'twerp'.

I headed back to my room and stripped out of my clothes. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower and went back to my room. I went over to my closet and eyed my wardrobe. I grabbed some chest bindings and wrapped it around my chest to flatten my racks. I put on some jeans and a loose shirt then I carefully tucked my hair inside my bonnet. Did I mention I have four earring holes on each ear? Well, yeah, I do. I walked over to a full length mirror and studied myself. Not bad.

Beep!

I jerked my head towards my bedside table and went and grabbed my phone.

To: Alex

From: Cassy

Good morning babe. See you at school. :*

I smiled as I read the text from my girlfriend. You read it right. My girlfriend. She is Cassandra Knight the hottest girl in school. What? Don't believe me? Then that's your problem. Anyways, she's been my girl for about three months already and we seem to be fine. I forgot to tell you,

I'm a lesbian. Growing up with two jerkheads was a lot of help. I mean teaching your little sister wrestling and taekwondo was not such a good idea after all. Not to mention lecturing her about cars, video games and girls were a major no-no.

I grabbed my backpack and stepped in to my sneakers and headed downstairs to the kitchen. I sat on the counter beside my brothers. Francis served me a plate of pancakes and a glass of juice. Francis was a little more trained. Travis was more of a mongrel.

I ate breakfast fast and brushed my teeth at the same speed. Travis and Francis were already outside by the car waiting. "I'll drive!" said Travis.

"No!" Both I and Francis said at the same time.

"Oh come on. I'm not that bad!" Travis wined as Francis grabbed the keys from him and went to the driver's seat. I slipped into the backseat and Travis took the front seat.

"Yeah right". I said with a hint of sarcasm. "The last time you did you nearly drove off a cliff, literally."

Travis pouted at what I had said and chose to shut up. The ride took about ten minutes until we were already in school. Francis parked just a little near the entrance and Travis went out of the vehicle first. I followed and then Francis. As we entered the halls of Adamson High, some eyes were on us. My brothers were jocks and I'm also considered as a jock but I'm not only known as one of them. I was known as their cool little brother. Irony. They all know I'm a girl but they were already used to the fact that I'm a guy. That's life.

I felt an arm snake around my left arm. I glanced to my side and it turned out to be Cassy. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. "Hey babe."

"Hi babe. I need to talk to you about something" She replied and smiled to me. I noticed it was a little fake, I knew something is wrong.

"See you later twerp!" Travis and Francis said as turned on their heels and went to first period. I nodded to them as they took off. I turned back to my girlfriend. Well maybe soon to be ex-girlfriend with the look of things.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked her. She smiled nervously and took her arm away. I knew it.

"It's been almost seven months now and it was and still is great being around you." She said.

"But?" I asked.

"But I think we need to end this. I'm not saying I don't like you anymore. I do like you, but only just as friends. I'm sorry. I don't want to lie to you anymore. I like someone else. Please don't hate me Alex. Please." She said looking into my eyes. "Please don't hate me."

I've known Cassy since elementary school; we became friends around fifth grade. I turned out to like her and asked her out when we entered our junior year. I had girlfriends before her but she was the first one that I had taken a little bit seriously and now she's calling it quits. I admit it hurts and I was starting to really, I mean reallylike her. But I'm not that selfish if she's not happy being my girlfriend, then I'll let her go. Don't get me wrong but if she's happy, then I'm happy for her.

I sighed and cupped her face with my hands and kissed her forehead. "If you're happy with him then I'm happy for you Cass. I don't hate you. In fact I appreciate that you've been honest with me."

"You really mean that?" she asked.

"Yes I do. Thank you for everything. Just remember, if he hurts you or anything I'm here to kick his ass with the whole taekwondo team trailing behind me."

She hugged me. And I smiled. "Thank you so much Alex. You don't know how much this means to me. Don't worry someday someone will come along and be the right one. You'll never know, maybe it'll be a 'he' this time." She teased wiggling her eyebrows.

"In your dreams Knight! But friends?"

"Friends." With that she hugged me one last time and waved goodbye. Dammit. There goes my dream girl. Oh well. That's life.
