It was the flowers
She decided
Those vibrant hues and colors
Like a rainbow on the ground
She missed the sun and told him
How she yearned
For the warmth on her body
And the wind, rustling her hair
She longed for the sparkling water
He told her to walk outside
It wasn't the same, those rivers
'Twas better to remain inside
But no matter how much she grumbled,
Whined or complained
She found she could not fault him
And looked for the good instead
Like the gardens he planted for her
With fruits and special plants
He cleaned the rivers only
So they would sparkle in the dark
He filled the roofs with diamonds
Sapphires and gems
He could not bring the sun inside
But created the (night) sky instead
Finally he told her
"'Tis time, you can go home'"
He gave her so a final meal
Pomegranate seeds in tow
He loved her with his being
She stole his very heart
In turn she found herself wanting
To stay forevermore
She ate the seeds on purpose
So she would always return
And thus forth came winter
When Demeter her back would turn
Hades,
he loved her,
with all of his heart
And stole her from the fields
In turn Persephone found with a start
her hatred had transformed
it changed to love with the sands of time
and she hated him no more
The goddess of spring fell in love with 'death'
And I guess it's for the better
For with spring comes life, and with life comes death
And they always come together(!)
Star-crossed lovers in ancient myths
Conspiring to stay together
And when she looks back on how things were
Found he could not have been gentler.
AN; I know it's not good, probably just okay (if barely), but it's how i feel the story goes in a way. I'm mixing a few of the myths surrounding Hades and Persephone and telling it how i belive things went.
Constructive critisism and pointers/advice is greatly appreciated and sought after
