A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

My Father was mighty my father was strong
A warrior brave, who fought against wrong
but the Children of darkness broke into his hall
Killed all his people put him in thrall

They tortured and beat him, they hurt him and lied
They laughed at his torment, they mocked as he cried
but his will was stronger, his faith adamant
they could not break him, his mortality rent

A hunger for blood, consumed his whole life
a killer and hunter, was born for that strife
A drinker of blood, A child of night
Clung to his faith, and continued to fight

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

My mother was lovely, gentle and fair
Fled from her family, in grief and despair
She ran to the hills, she came to a hall
and with a Trickle of blood, did my father enthrall

She stood there so proudly, without any fear
upon her soft cheek was both blood and a tear
how could he resist her, so lovely and kind
How could he deny her, what shelter she'd find

And so he did court her, to show her his love
though she was a servant of heavens above
when she grew to love him, their hearts they did sing
but neither did think what the future would bring

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

A new life began, beneath her kind heart
and then they did swear, never to part
A trick of blood, a cry and a scream
and both had obtained a forgotten dream

Their child was all that they could desire
born of their and their passionate fire
A child of darkness A child of light
How could something so tiny be so very unright

but what is a Damphir, but a creature of wrong
hated by human and vampire stong
how could this child hope to survive
when against both of his people he ever must strive

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

They loved and they cared, they fought and they taught
a young man of Honor was what they had wrought
A child of blood and A child of joy
but their people's hatred their world would destroy

A night spent in traveling, in laughter and fun
With Mother and father, and unfortunate son
An ambush was waiting, and gathered the foe
To kill that small family, wherever they go

An avalanche started, now unable to run
they faced swords and the fire, and soon rising sun
The mother did fall, to save her dear child
The father he killed with the strength of the wild

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

In grief and in sorrow the boy he did flee
into the harsh arms of his enemy
beaten and battered, frightened and chained
Alone and abandoned, grieving and pained

They locked him away, they kept him caged
grieving and lonely, abused and enraged
Love they denied, abuse was his lot
and he was punished if he dared fought

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

The years echoed hollow, the years they were long
the bow grew up timid, he didn't seem strong
he shrunk from their hands, avoided their touch
Fled to his cage when they pain grew to much

But still in his soul was his father's great will
and the boy learned to hunt and then learned to kill
to amuse his new masters, who never did see
the hunger from freedom, The struggle to be

They boy finally grew up into a young man
The Hunger for blood he'd resist as he can
But how can you fight, and how can you hold
when you are not brave, when yo are not bold

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
A child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
A child of love and a child of sin

A trickle of blood, a fear for a life
the bonds they were broken, in pain and in strife
though battered and broken, shattered and bent
his will was undamaged, he wouldn't relent

Another young child, to be given his fate
it demanded his anger that wouldn't abate
so with fang and with claw, with grace and with will
he fell on the foemen, and then he did kill

He would save the child, he wold give up his life
When his claw not enough, he went for a knife
he bled and he blooded, he screamed and he roared
and in the heart of the child grew something adored

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
a child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
a child of love and a child of sin

He carried the child, he fled from the ground
He ran through the forest, with enemies round
he came to the city, he came to the hall
he gave back the child, to his masters so tall

With a cry of fear, they beat him down
until the young child, held up his crown
Until the young prince held out his hand
demanding who was greater than the lord of the land

The child got no answer, no one could speak
No one knew what answer he'd seek
The Prince stood tall, his power to see
and he told the young half-blood, "you now are free"

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
a child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
a child of love and a child of sin

So now does the Half-blood in freedom roam
and he now seeks the way to return to his home
He seeks his father, and his mother's gave
and while he is searching, stray children he'll save

A child of darkness and a child of sin
will never let, the true darkness win
He has known weakness and he has known pain
and just like his father, he'll face it again

Though he seems timid, mild and meek
if you enrage him, you'll know he's not weak
he's a child of Sin and a child of love
but was he sent by the darkness...or heaven above?

A Trickle of Blood is how it began
a child of Darkness a child of man
A Trickle of Blood let this all begin
a child of love and a child of sin

A Trickle of Blood is how it will end
Lord of the darkness, mankind's best friend
A Trickle of Blood, A single shed tear
The life of a Damphir, treasured and dear
