So eerily quiet and cold,

The wind silently howling,

The night pressing against me,

Everything scary and frightening.

But the pitch black sky is scarier then scary.

So dark and eerie; chills running up my spine.

It is cold; in my body, even though it was warm outside.

Blackness clutching at my body,

And for once, I silently cry for help

Please, someone, I can not last,

But then, suddenly,

Warm rays of the beautiful sun erupt.

I watch the warm yellow sun come out of its sleep,

and take its rightful place in the now pink and blue sky.

Dawn has arrived. Dawn has saved me.

It's always darkest before the dawn.

It's always darkest before the dawn.

It's not always darkest before the dawn, but you get my idea.

I have loved this saying since I was six or seven. To me, it means there is always hope.
