I yelled out my pain as dull hands pushed through and into my flesh as if it were butter. But, I did not bleed. Their skin held anticoagulants that prevented me from losing any of my blood. I think if I could bleed it would hurt less.

Why now?

"Simphonie!" A man's voice called out.

"Simmer!" I crowed back. "Please, help me, please, help me." My eyes lost focus as I fought the pain; and there was so much.

I hear the torch of a flamethrower. The Vampires screeched as they withstood the flames. I whimpered. They wouldn't stop eating.

There were more intelligible voices.

My eyes were closed when I was pulled away.

"Half of her is missing!" Said a childish voice.

"She'll live." Simmer said resolutely.

"Her face!" The high-pitched girlish voice cried back.

"Sssh!"

"Don't scare her! You know Simple gets queasy easily."

"I'd rather die, then..."

"I know, but, she'll have to learn to cope with this."

"Forever, looking like that."

"It's disgusting."

"Ugh."

"Should we leave her?"

"You know Simulations cannot leave each other behind." They all groaned.

"There are exceptions to every rule. Do Simulations ever end up looking like this?"

"No," they all answered back.

"Then, leave her." My eyes popped open in shock. I cried helplessly as I was heaved into a nearby Dumpster."

"Goodbye," Simple said in her girl's voice. I winced.

"Never to die young," I said pitifully to myself, as I twiddled the bones that were now my fingers, as I waited to be found.
