Proposal

A sputter, and a break, my heart bled.
A rush of blood oozed out from me,
I stood there like a living dead.
Loving has never been for free.

Lovely fictions, all I have read.
But never will I ever be
The man that lives inside her head
Nor will I be perfectacy.

A sputter, and a break, my heart bled.
Yet I still got down on a knee
And pulling out a ring, I said,
"Baby please, will you marry me?"

When I look up, she nods her head.
Never have I felt more happy,
But my heart aches and I fall dead.
My world falls and I can't see.
