A silent note, the whispering trees

Leaves falling beneath my knees

Left behind is a passage of memories

Which Death cannot take away from me

Echoes of laughter, by happy faces

Friends competing ridiculous races

Innocent tears and boyish punches

Missing teeth and painful braces

The teacher's mumbling, swollen hands

They tell a story of a thousand words

Knowledge fall back on the sands

Feelings break but still withstands

Sleepless nights, blood lit eyes

Head buried under countless books

Fighting for that noble prize

Think of it now was so unwise

My childhood was no delight

No such pillow fights

But lessons from such memories

Are ones I'll never perceive
