Looking out the window,
Out into the night.
Nothing can make you think more
Than hours of uninterrupted flight.
Above the clouds the sky is clear,
The moon shining bright,
Out on the wing you see the flicker
Of the planes white light.
Miles above the sleeping planet,
You sit and stare at the stars.
Miles out of reach from where you sit
Passing by like headlights on cars.
To the east the sky grows lighter
You see the dawn of another day
Twenty-four more hours
For you to waste away.
