While the rest of you wandered aimlessly
turning into werewolves
I stayed home and shaved my legs.

Yeah, I've counted the stars
in this sky and I've been witness to
phosphorescence dancing between my toes.

These are few of the things I do know.

I counted my quarters, a collection
of lost phone calls, and I stared at a full moon
screaming silently, a single lone howl –

I have so many quarters,
and nobody to phone –

Yeah, while the rest of you were being torn apart,
I stayed at home alone.
