Author's note:
Hi guys, this is just a stupid short story I wrote. Nothing big, I was kind of bored so I wrote this. Just so you know there are not any other chapters, and this is not my best work. Like I said I was just bored. Hope you hate it :s
It was just an ordinary supermarket, but what happened there was far from ordinary.
It was a beautiful, sunny day, not a cloud in sight. I had to get a few things from the grocery store. I found a parking space, got out of my car and went in. There were a few people, maybe twenty or thirty.
On my way to the dairy products something in the staff room caught my eye. As I looked again I saw a tall, black figure. It definitely wasn't your normal human being, it was too big.
I classified it as my imagination playing games with me but to my surprise something else was going on. I decided to continue with my shopping. When I turned around and looked outside I couldn't believe my eyes. The sun was gone and it was cloudy outside. It got darker by the minute.
I heard the front door closing and security guards locked us in from the outside. Suddenly it began to rain. By this time all the people were in front of the door screaming and shouting for the guards to let them out. One woman was crying hysterically because her four year old was alone in her car. The guards didn't even blink.
The thunder grew louder and louder. When the lightning struck the power went out. It was so dark we couldn't see our hands before our faces. None of our phones had any signal.
There was a moment of silence and we heard cans of food falling from the shelves behind us. But it was in several different aisles. We heard a child screaming in the left side of the store and a dog was barking continuously.
Every time the lightning lit the store we saw people disappearing one by one. With one excruciating howl the dog was pulled into the darkness. Whatever it was, it didn't want us there.
Luckily the police were in the area and they heard our cries for help. To this very day nobody has seen or heard from those vanished people.
It's still a mystery.
