An Ideal Grace
As surely as I stand before the Lord,
At once convicted, bound, my trial done,
Commanded to pay that I'd scarce afford
For sins committed, and sins yet to come –
As surely as this scene before me runs,
I found an ideal grace within your eyes.
When I was at great risk of losing Love,
You took me in your arms and said, "All lies!"
Thus so it was that I was shamed, and still for me you'd die.
