The Bus ch. 1

I sighed. This bus was the craziest thing ever. One seven year old, me, and a few 6th graders.

"Awkward," Ricky sang.

"Awkward with an A," Kara agreed. I tugged my headphones to my ears, hoping to drown out the noise with music.

Kara was talking about something she was allergic to. The driver was joking around with Aaron. Hopefully, we would get to school soon. Did I just say that?

...

This afternoon, they were fighting over seating arrangements. They more or less got a handle on it, but really?

Kara was talking about a bloody nose or something. Then she started talking about AIDS.

"No wonder Ricky knows all these words!" Andy practically screamed.

"Not like that!" Kara groaned.

She continued to talk, but I asked Blake something. "That's a paper knife, right?"

"Yeah," he replied.

"You should color the tip red,"

"Argh, what is wrong with you?" Andy said loudly. I smirked. BUS: 0 ME: 1

Kara started singing, and Andy, of course, snapped at her to stop.

Blake got off the bus. I didn't really listen much, though Kara and I talked about the color red. Kara then left the bus and journeyed to her house.

Great. I was on a bus with Ricky, Andy, and another person I forgot the name of. Tom. Awesome.

Andy, thankfully, left. I was next off, so it wouldn't be that bad. Had I really survived this bus ride without music?

BUS: 0 ME: 1
