Sonnet 2

Sonnet 2

by v_voltaire

:This was a fun one.:

Do not think I love you now;

That poem was written time before

My rose has withered on its bough

Its perfume faded evermore.

I do not know this strange new her

That stares at me through your brown eyes

I only know the nymph you were

The beauteous wonder, strange new prize.

Why wear you now this sad disguise

Where my true love's heart does belong?

Have I been taken by your lies?

Then why so does my heart still long?

I'll love you always, you should know,

But only the you of ten minutes ago.
