Chapter 58: Unison

They arrived in his Flight's tent, and Ethan shuffled over to Tycho. "I am late."

"Yet most welcome," his captain assured.

Yannis and Garrick dragged him to where Conrad waited, and once they sat, Verrill struck a chord on his harp.

Ethan loved evensong.

He had seemingly little in common with these rugged archers, but as they spun their day's events into songs of praise, surprising patterns emerged. Lessons overlapped. Purposes blended. It didn't take an Observer to see God's hand at work.

They were teammates, sharing a deep trust. They were the Faithful, serving the One who embodies faithfulness.
