A history project for school

Rhythm for song and idea, those credits, got to Leona Lewis and her song "My Hands"

"My Precedents"

We wake in the morning, tired of this fighting.
The incoming debt and dealing with affairs alone.
The French and British war pushes us to pick.
Dealing with another day
without you and
we need something to settle the probs
and George came with a great idea.
He called them precedents.
Enough of sleeping without the lights
George made something each prez has to do.
Some think everything's not okay, but they're wrong
'Cause…

[Chorus]
First Cab
(War Department and—)
Treasure
(States and court systems)
and 2 terms
These guidelines will help us solve us every prob in our way!
Foreign
(affairs won't understand)
We won't
(give into their tricks and)
put us in more trouble than before!
More trouble than before!

Setting up court systems
and going a day without crying.
We go and settle things now
we're not alone now.
But, we can't see what lies ahead
all the problems get a bit easier.
We'll probably be okay.

New stuff happens every day
we're getting closer to bright now.
George thinks it'll be okay.
Let's hope for the best now.

[Chorus]

Sometimes the breaks crash down upon us.
Quietly breaking whatever shields we put up.
Things we cannot fake, they cry and we're unspoken.
George created you guys for a reason!

Foreign
(affairs won't understand)
They give us pain but we'll find a way out!

My hands
your hands
we can't go without
you Precedents.
Please don't ever let go
no, never let us go!
